Bandai Namco has announced that Code Vein 2 will be released on January 30th, 2026. To celebrate this announcement, the team shared a new gameplay trailer that you can find below.
Code Vein II aims to tell a deep and emotional story. It takes place in the future, where the world is falling apart. The last humans and powerful beings called Revenants are trying to survive. A new danger, called the Luna Rapacis, suddenly appears. Because of this, many Revenants lose control and turn into scary monsters known as Horrors. Everyone must fight to stay alive in this broken world.
You play as a Revenant Hunter, someone who tracks and fights powerful beings. You’re helped by a mysterious girl named Lou, who has the special power to travel into the past. With her help, you’ll go back in time to change important events. By doing this, you’ll learn secret information, change the fate of other Revenants, and try to save the future.
In Code Vein II, you will travel through a world split between two different time periods. Your choices really matter, and every battle will push your skills and courage to the limit.
This action RPG has a unique play style. When you defeat enemies, you can drain their blood to unlock strong new abilities. You can also plan your fighting style by using Blood Codes, which give you special powers and bonuses.
To face tough enemies and huge bosses, you’ll equip special weapons and gear called Jails. By combining these tools with your Blood Codes and skills, you can create your own strategy and stand a better chance of surviving every challenge.
Players will also be able to team up with strong Partner characters who fight beside them in battle. Each Partner has their own unique powers and fighting style. They also have their own backstories, which adds to the story of the game. These Partners will help make your journey easier and more exciting. The bond you build with them will affect how the story unfolds.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

another Soulslike from copy-cat Asia
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz……..
Even though the characters seem like a regression I'm glad that the enemies look better. I just hope they tighten up the controls compared to the first.
