Kepler Interactive has announced a new turn-based RPG with real-time mechanics, called Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will be powered by Unreal Engine 5, promises to have stunning graphics and a heartbreaking soundtrack, and it will come out on PC in 2025.
In this evolution of JRPGs, real-time actions will enhance the heart of turn-based combat. Players will be able to craft unique builds for their Expeditioners that fit their playstyle via gear, stats, skills, and character synergies. Moreover, they will be able to dodge, parry, and counter in real time, chain combos by mastering attack rhythms, and target enemy weak points using a free aim system.
In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, players will be able to explore an enchanting realm populated by surreal adversaries. They will wander through breathtaking landscapes, from the Island of Visages to the Forgotten Battlefield, discovering secrets and hidden quests along the way. They’ll also be able to find allies of fortune in creatures of legend and recruit special companions, access new travel methods and discover secret areas in the World Map.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 looks really interesting, and below you can find its debut in-engine trailer. This trailer features some gameplay sequences, so make sure to watch it.
Enjoy!

33?
The first 32 games were Japan exclusives.
I like these random numbers, i remember one anime i watched at random that i really like called 86 – EIGHTY SIX- that i really enjoyed.
Looks pretty good can't wait to play it on pc gamepass.
I often criticize Japanese games for looking like they're designed for 3 year old kids (especially Nintendo, eeeew!), but since a few years, Western games do the extreme opposite: they look like they came right from hell.
Why do they always have to make games look that nightmarish?
Gee, even playing Quake 1 in 1996 felt like a vacation compared to this.
brother just exaggerating salaciously
Is this a western game? i can't tell since the female look cute, but the clothes do look western. As for your comment, i think the west is more into eschatology when compared to asiatics.
looks interesting and even better on gamepass tbh
lol quicktime events
A cute female? what year is this?
