Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Open Beta PC Requirements

Activision, Treyarch and Beenox have revealed the official PC system requirements for the Open Beta phase of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. So, let’s see what you’ll need in order to play it.

For starters, the Open Beta phase will begin on August 30th for those who have pre-ordered the game. Then, the beta will open to everyone on September 6th.

In COD: BO6, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.

PC gamers will at least need an AMD Ryzen 5 1400 or Intel Core i5-6600 with 12GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon RX 470, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or Intel Arc A750. According to the devs, the minimum VRAM requirements will be 3GB. Also, Beenox suggests using an SSD.

Beenox recommends using an AMD Ryzen 5 1600X or Intel Core i7-6700K with 16GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon RX 6600XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060.

The devs did not reveal any additional details about the minimum PC specs. As such, we don’t know the resolution, details and framerates they target. However, we do know that the recommended PC specs target 60fps at High settings. That’s most likely at 1080p.

Activision plans to release Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on October 25th. From what I know so far, the single-player campaign will be more demanding than its multiplayer mode. Still, I’ll be sure to share my first performance impressions with the Open Beta.

Finally, I’ve included the latest COD: BO6 MP trailer below. So, be sure to check it out.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. What they don't tell you as part of the PC requirements is that they will install kernel-level malware inside Windows, a.k.a. "anti-cheat".

  2. Its cool that they put some reference for a target but they could be a lot more specific with their resolutions and fps targets. I guess its better than most though.

  3. The main requirement is the ability to be able to play alongside kids who have far too much time on their hands and only play COD when they aren't sleeping or at school.

  4. Are those the minimum specs at native resolution, or with temporal upscaling?

Also, will there actually be a way to turn off the thrice-damned temporal SMAA this time? Or had CoD gone the way of forced temporal anti-aliasing permanently, like most other games seem to have?
