Banner Saga 3 release date pushed forward, now planned for a Summer 2018 release

Stoic has announced that the release date of Banner Saga 3 has been pushed forward. The game was meant to hit streets in December 2018, however, it will be now coming to the PC in Summer 2018. In order to kick off the road to launch, Stoic released the first episode of a series of vignette trailers highlighting influential characters in this epic Viking saga. This first trailer focuses on Fasolt.

Banner Saga 3 will be a beautifully hand-drawn Viking role-playing adventure, promising to once again test the player’s resolve through epic tactical battles against deadly adversaries.

In Banner Saga 3, players will embark upon the final quest beyond the wall of Darkness. Players will traverse a world unlike anything encountered previously. Moreover, their choices will directly affect their personal journey

The story-driven narrative will continue encouraging the character building and strategic aspects which were essential to The Banner Saga and Banner Saga 2 popularity amongst fans. Furthermore, story secrets will be brought to light and character motives will be made clear.

  1. I don’t like games where you need to use strategy or tactics. Just let me have a gun so I can shoot vikings that also have guns. Games are too complex nowadays.

    1. On the contrary, games are massively dumbed down nowadays, precisely to cater to the lowest common denominator: the casual gamer. Banner Saga is pretty simple actually, there’s nothing really ‘complex’ about it.
