KOEI Tecmo has announced that Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land will be released on PC on March 21st, 2025. To celebrate this announcement, the publisher has also shared the game’s first gameplay trailer.

As KOEI Tecmo noted, this trailer will give fans their first glimpse of the story, characters, and gameplay. So, make sure to watch it if you are a fan of the series.

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land is a JRPG that follows the adventures of Yumia Liessfeldt, and her companions as they seek to uncover the truth behind the fall of the Aladissian Empire. Yumia’s quest will take her across a ruined continent and despite the uncertainties of confronting her past, she will need to create her own path if she hopes to unravel the mysteries behind the cataclysm that destroyed Aladiss.

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land will take players on a journey exploring the theme of memory. Playing as Yumia Liessfeldt, a young alchemist who lost her mother in an accident when she was young, players set out to uncover the forbidden art of alchemy while also learning the true intentions of Yumia’s mother, who hid her identity as an alchemist. Along the way, Yumia joins the Aladiss Research Team where she meets Viktor von Duerer and his younger sister, Isla von Duerer. There, they are also joined by an assorted cast of characters including a mysterious woman, a timid demi-human, and a former adventurer with spectacular experiences.

Together, Yumia and her companions will travel across the vast continent that was once the Aladissian Empire, where all civilization has perished. Players will have a wide range of actions and items at their disposal throughout the adventure, allowing them to explore a vast open world made up of different biomes as they make their way through these unknown lands. As they explore, players can gather materials and synthesis items, which can be used to synthesise and craft new items for use in their quest, both during exploration and combat. Not only fans will be able to craft items without having to return to their base thanks to the “Simple Synthesis” feature, but for the first time in the series, fans will be able to build, furnish and decorate their own base with the “Building” feature.

Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!

    1. Are the stories/gameplay for the atelier games that good? I swear I've never heard people talk about anything but the character designs.

      1. If you like anime its very familiar mix of comedy, slice of life and some beautiful relaxing moments. But don't expect anything dark deep or stressing depth into the story. If you know what you're getting you'll like it otherwise it will feel just like another nintendo game you don't pay attention to

        1. Thank you, I’ll reproach it that way because I would like to be able to appreciate more of the game. Did Ryza take some time to get going or if Im not hooked about 3 hours in should I just probably move on? Or is there a better atelier game to try?

          1. Well, almost all the atelier games share some core elements. You control adorable characters, craft alchemy, do explorations & engage in real-time turn based strategic combat. All that to defeat a particular evil in the lands. That's sounds like your typical story of any traditional comfy JRPG. If you've played some previously you'll immediately start exploring these systems, but if you're not into it or never played games like these you probably won't like it. And that's completely fine too.
I have a big list of games I don't like and will never play. Games that probably most people have liked. Especially multiplayers.
So I'll suggest take Atelier games as casual, chill, picnic RPGs and see if that suits you. Otherwise there are tons of other wonderful games already. No need to worry much. Cheers!

          2. appreciated, i think i just got to pick some time to really try to get into it. This and the trails series of JRPGs are like last few bigger franchises I have not really tried to get into.

          3. The tales of arise games are pretty fun and a lot similar to traditional action hack n slash rpgs. I personally like them more than atelier games but that's just my perspective. Find your jam and have fun.

          4. For sure. Tales games are probably my favorite JRPG series especially the way they handle various real world and political themes that I think a lot of people are oblivious to. I’ll probably check out ryza again sooner.

  1. These games look very appealing but the gameplay never grabbed me. I think i'll try ryza again but when I think about it people love the character designs but I never hear people praise the gameplay.

  2. I picked these up to play after getting caught up in the hype and have been barely able to get past the first few hours. As popular as the franchise/series is I hear almost no talk about the content of the game apart from the main character's design. Its crazy how it seems there's a market for people who just buy but do not play games. Now that I say it out loud I guess that's how collectibles work.
