Assassin's Creed Shadows feature

Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been delayed until March 20th

Ubisoft has just announced that Assassin’s Creed: Shadows has been delayed until March 20th. The game was meant to come out on February 14th. So, we’re basically talking about a one-month delay.

Ubisoft claims that this extra time will allow its dev team to further polish the game. This is the second time that AC: Shadows has been delayed as Ubisoft was initially planning to release the game on November 15th.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes place in 16th-century Japan during the Azuchi-Momoyama era. In this game, you will live the intertwined stories of Naoe and Yasuke. Against the backdrop of the turbulent late Sengoku period, this duo will discover their common destiny as they usher in a new era for Japan.

The game promises to have spectacular castle towns, bustling ports, peaceful shrines, and pastoral landscapes. Ubisoft also claims that AC: Shadows will have unpredictable weather, changing seasons, and reactive environments.

Just yesterday, Ubisoft shared some new videos that showcased the new parkour system of this new AC game. In December 2024, it also shared more details about its combat mechanics. So, I suggest reading those articles.

Finally, AC: Shadows will not require a mandatory internet connection to play. However, it will be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. Since this is Assassin’s Creed we’re talking about, I don’t expect Ubisoft to remove it via a post-launch update. That’s a bummer but hey, it is what it is

Stay tuned for more!

    1. I would say they need a divine miracle but they participated in the Paris Opening Ceremony that proudly and openly mocked Jesus and The Last supper so… good luck with that happening.

        1. Feel free to have an opinion on it, but when an "official" committee gives the green light to $hit all over a major religion, that's just disrespectful… plus "f4aggots" was the major theme of that opening $hitshow of a joke.

Even if that opening ceremony had NOTHING to do with anything religious, it was nothing short of vomit-inducing. What little respect I may have had for the olympics is now completely gone.

          1. It’s a f4ggot civil war, a f4g on f4g war like black on black crimes, I’m staying out of it, they can sh*t on each other all they want.

      1. Only the people ignorant of Greek Mythology believed that nonsense. It was clearly about Dionysus not Jesus

      2. You were waiting the Olympics to get religiously offended by Ubisoft?

In Valhalla the main game mechanic was to burn down Christian monasteries

  1. The last gameplay videos didnt look awful but probably someone in marketing told them they should move to a less busy release window.

    1. their first and last game. Ubisoft won't have a job for them after this POS launches into the garbage bin, and the rest of the AAA industry has contracted as well. where would they go? granted they might have better odds than some older developers due to lower wage expectations, but that's not saying much. the aggressive growth of the industry is over and it's leaving a lot of people out in the cold, people who are going to have to retrain to do something else. especially the extremely specialized sorts who do things like rigging or level design.

        1. forgot about that. I did think that Shadows was gonna end up on it as well along with some other big titles from last year at launch.

          1. It’s not something crazy to think about, Ubisoft always releases games for new consoles pretty much on launch day.

      1. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 could show up or Ghost of Yotei. The First Berserker: Khazan is a wild card but it is releasing on March 27th.

        1. I thought expedition 33 was for may or generally Q2. Yotei pop up would be disastrous but it is women’s month in the US so it makes sense for it to drop then but it also has a lot of people getting upset about being woke too sadly. First Berserker seems interesting but I could just be ignorant to any hype that people have for it. It seems like a boss focused action game but Im not sure if it would pull from Assassin’s Creed buyers in the same way.

    1. Also probably terrified knowing the game is still an an alpha state and the inexperienced developers aren't going to finish it in time. 'Member CP2077? I do!

    1. even game hacker care about ubisoft games , they are always jailbroken after a very long time , even they know its worthless to crack….

    2. Woke is the new Denuvo, They don't need it as people won't even waste their bandwidth to get it on the high seas.

  2. Can't polish a turd, They know what they need to do in order for this game to sell.
If they keep delaying then they are going to go up against GTA 6 later this year.
Better make sure the characters are what most people want because Ubi has some competition, KCD2 out soon and then later this year GTA 6.

  3. I don't care how good the graphics are, please delay this POS forever. Nothing will be missed by gamers.

I got banned on their Steam forums for calling it "A$$assins Creed: BLM Edition. Floyd would be so proud." It was worth the ban.

  4. The woke mob dev team, unexperienced in making games, had argues and frustrations so instead of focusing on the developmemt they went a Kumbaya Spa Retreatment Resort to talk about their feelings, that they are hurt inside, talking in groupsessions therapy about their Happy animals, giving each other compliments and being forced positive for their diversion.

  5. You guys laugh, but it makes sense being black and an assassin.

Only during the night missions tho.

  6. i like how the woke propaganda for "inclusion" of everyone absolutely backfired by getting excluded by 99% of general population. delay this turd indefinitely, no one gonna notice.

  7. The woke mob dev team, unexperienced in making games, had argues and frustrations so instead of focusing on the developmemt they went a Kumbaya Spa Retreatment Resort to talk about their feelings, that they are feeling hurt inside, had a bad childhood at kindergarten, and talking in groupsessions therapy about their Happy animals, giving each other forced compliments and acting positive about their diversity.

  8. Maybe it will end up being another Ubisoft special like Skull and Bones. Almost 11 years in development. Delayed over and over again. Finally released last year and yes….it was a turd. Ubisoft can't seem to stop shooting themselves in the foot. What a mess. Like watching a train wreck in slow motion.

  9. If I wanted to play a samurai game with a Japanese samurai I would play ghost of Tsushima.

I expect from Ubisoft something more interesting and original, so I can't wait for shadows.

  10. March 20th 2025, The 30th anniversary of the fatal Sarin gas attack in Tokyo's subway. Boy oh boy, Ubisoft sure does love pissing off the Japanese.

  11. This is the last straw for ubi, hopefully most of us gamers don't buy this bs and it bankrupts ubisoft. Idk if Tencent takeover is good for us either
