Ubisoft has issued a press release for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, revealing that the game will not be coming to Steam. Instead, this new AC game will be available on Windows PC through the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store.
Ubisoft has not clarified whether we’ll see Assassin’s Creed Mirage on Steam at a later date. My guess is that this is timed-exclusive as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla saw a late release on Steam. Thus, we might see Mirage on Steam a year from now.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is an homage to the series, and a particularly special tribute to the first Assassin’s Creed. Inviting players to immerse themselves in a magnificent ninth-century Baghdad at the peak of its Golden Age, Assassin’s Creed: Mirage will offer a narrative-driven action-adventure experience with a modern take on the parkour, stealth, and assassinations gameplay elements that have defined the franchise for over fifteen years.
In this new AC game, players will experience the story of Basim, a cunning street thief seeking answers and justice as he navigates the bustling streets of ninth-century Baghdad.
Ubisoft will release Assassin’s Creed Mirage on October 12th!

ok weeb, thanks for your steam tribalist input. I’m sure Gabe Newell will finally send you nudes
You assumed that just from my profile pic . . . whoa that’s some skills you got kiddo !
You’re trying so hard lmao. What happened, not yet paid for all that shilling by Uncle Yves and Oink Oink Swiney?
Ubisoft and Epic must pay me first if they want me to install the fitgirl version on my PC. I charge extra for playing it.
no fitgirl version, wont make repacks of denuvo cracked games because of empress being the only person who cracks them.
Empress version it is then.
DODI Repack. Faster downloads and smaller sizes.
some people learn nothing. Like people who buy ubicrap games.
who cares. I’m just enjoying the steam cultist zoomer salt. the troons who can’t show off their badge collection on their handheld steamdecks to fellow stream troons
You sound like an insecure corporate shill trying hard to justify anti-consumerism.
you sound like a beta steamgoy
What a weak comeback lmao, too hard to fathom negative facts about yourself?
Bet you’re some fat 17 y/o sitting in mommy’s basement, drooling over “muh free gamez” and using mommy’s credit card to buy VBucks.
blah bla blah *angry NPC wall of text*
Poor corporate shilling NPC had its ego hurt by the truth, and has no comebacks. Take the L.
Do the world a favor and cease your right to existence, you’ll benefit and so will human society.
you type like a redditor. oof
Yet another weak comeback, not my problem you lack the intelligence to formulate a comeback, much less speak facts.

But no one is saying that for the 30% cut of Sony, Steam is infinitely more popular than Epic, even with 30% vs 12% cut, you get more money on Steam because more sales.
And EGS is a horrible launcher, even years after it’s still running like it’s a Beta because Epic think that free games could compensate for their very lacking and janky launcher, and in the end of the day this is what it is, a Launcher for some free games and nothing else, most people get it for the free stuff and spend their money elsewhere, stupid strategy, if Epic didn’t have money from Fortnite and UE this launcher would’ve send them to the grave already
Many developers disagree and refuse to launch on Steam. Ubisoft would be more than willing to launch on Steam if greedy Gabe Newell didn’t try to rip them off.
Mirage will launch on:
-Ubisoft
-Epic Game Store
-PS4
-PS5
-Xbox S
-Xbox X
All of these platforms probably ask a more reasonable cut or do more to help developers. Steam does not according to developers. The problem is Steam, not Ubisoft.
Is that why EA came back to Steam? And Call of Duty?
When Ubisoft went Epic exclusive the first time, they literally said it was to drive more sales on Ubisoft Connect. All it did was add one more reason for people to stop buying their games (and we had plenty of reason, especially after how bad Breakpoint was).
And? Developers are not allowed to sell games themselves or something?
It’s good that there is competition. The majority of developers do not like the huge cut Steam takes.

Dude sorry, but you are just dumb as a rock. First all Valhalla numbers included units sold on all consoles. second, you are just hating on Steam like an idiot. You do know Sony, and Microsoft, take also 30% revenue share to launch on their platforms? its an industry standard. Apple and google does the same thing. I don’t see you you b*ching about that! You literally do not make any sense. You DO know that you can literally buy every single game that is on Steam directly from other vendors like Greenmangaming, fanatical, humblebundle, and delvelopres themselves without ever giving once cent “Greedy Gaben” ? Who else does that ?how is that for anti competition? I litereally have hundreds of games in my steam library that I never paid one cent to Gabe, yet I can play it on Steam with full benefits of the platform. Please, Let me know when Epic allows you to buy games on their platform without given them 12% revenue. You claim you like competition but obviously you are just a fanboy who cheer that the game wont come to
steam where is the preferred platform by the majority of gamers.
The point was that they were trying to move to their own platform like EA had years earlier, which as we saw ended up being a failure not only for EA but for Activision as well. It doesn’t matter what the revenue cut is, Steam is where the majority of the gamers are, and they don’t want to be anywhere else. The only reason releasing on Epic at all wasn’t an immediate loss was due to Epic’s terms guaranteeing a certain minimum payout (which was usually quite high from what I understand) even if a game’s sales were poor.
The problem with releasing on the Epic game store is lack of exposure. As more and more gamers don’t play a company’s games due to Epic exclusivity, eventually people stop caring about the company and their games, and it’s eventually too difficult to build any pre-release hype about them. Ubisoft is slowly disappearing into obscurity, and to be fair a lot of it is just due to crappy games that no one wants to play, but launching them as Epic exclusives just makes it worse. Eventually people won’t even remember what Ubisoft was, and maybe we’ll all be better off that way.
The lack of exposure is so true. A recent example that happend to me. Because of the Alan Wake 2 got an release date i decided to replay the 1, while it was finisihing downloading I went to search to see if the game had any issues on PC (Only Played back on the 360 at launch) and what i found out is, that the port runs fine and that the remaster version is available for PC too.
Now, i had no idea that the remaster was available for PC or even worse, that has been out for almost 2 years now. And the reason for that is because it launched as EGS exclusive and it never came to Steam, which unfortunaly also anoys me because it also means that probably Alan Wake 2 will also never com to steam.
If they don’t like the cut then release it on GOG. I won’t be tied to storefronts that have proven to have shady clauses in the event they get shut down.
Xbox and sony have the same 30% cut…….this is about epic giving them money to not put on steam for x amount years. Otherwise they would never come to steam.
No a very small portion of devs disagree and refuse to launch on Steam, they were “many” back when Epic was new and they thought it has a future of some sort, but now everyone has faced the truth, the only devs remaining with the exception of internal devs like Remedy, are the ones who think that the exclusivity money is more worthy than individual sales because they don’t trust their product to be good enough to sell by itself
You’re defending the pinacle of greedy business practitioner that is ubishit over another “greedy” platform? You lot simping for epic and ubishit are definitely paid shills. probably for soyny and shitbox as well given how you made up those apparent “helpfulness” of two of the most unhelpful publishers for third party devs
Makes sense.
Yes, because this is where exclusive sh*t games belong

How ubisoft of them
Lol, I guess Ubisoft don’t want to see Negative reviews on New assassin creed game
Ah Ubisoft, setting yourselves back on the path of self destruction I see. Don’t let me stop you. Feel free to have as much fun imploding your company as you want.
Need to retake that Golden Poo from EA and boy do they try for the last decade.

They are so inconsistent. They just released Far Cry 6 and AC Valhalla on steam, and now are not releasing their new AC game on steam??
It doesn’t look inconsistent. This game might launch on Steam in 2 years like Valhalla. Sony does the same thing for their games.
Developers disagree with the large cut Steam takes. For initial sales this hurts a lot and they lose too much money on Steam. But after a while they might launch on Steam just to promote the franchise.
Valhalla launched on Ubisoft and Epic on Nov. 10, 2020.
Valhalla came to Steam on Nov 21, 2022. 2 years after launch.
They have to uphold “contracts” done with Tencent/Epic their angel investors.

Valhalla was being sold for $10 on Steam, Ubisoft probably made very little money from it, they just did it to promote the franchise, fans already bought the game 2 years earlier.
Valhalla launched on Ubisoft and Epic on Nov. 10, 2020.
Valhalla came to Steam on Nov 21, 2022. 2 years after launch.
Sony doesn’t count here, they put it on Steam later because they port their exclusives to PC later. But yeah, i used to think not being on Steam means devs are losing a lot of money, but i guess not since the exclusives continue to happen.
They don’t lose much because they would need to sell 30% more on Steam to offset Steam’s stupid cut. For huge franchises like AC and CoD, no one who cares about them is gonna pass just because it’s not on Steam.
Nothing is true, everything is permitted. In business.
Assassins Creed: Torrent day1
You can’t, this crap will have VM Protect and Denuvo + maybe Ubisoft geniuses will come with Arxan on top of that. Performance will be great of course.
Yup, 6 layers or more of DRM caked together. Gonna be a lot of pegging by Empress at this rate lmao.
I bet there’s someone out there that will pay Empress 1000$ to get it cracked as fast as she can…
Probably, won’t be D1 that’s for sure :)).
Yeah like how she cracked Valhalla in a day, not. What’s even the point of cracking Denuvo games on launch, it’s gonna run like trash for months and then it’ll maybe be fixed in 6 months, but the crack will be stuck in the past.
empress released the valhalla repack on 24 03 2021, 3.5 months after release.
empress released the valhalla repack on 24 03 2021, 3.5 months after release.
The reality is i think we’re gonna have to wait 2 years before all the patches and dlc come out so that Empress will crack it. Like with Valhalla
if it’s as bad as valhalla, i would not even play it for free XD
i play valhalla that way and damn, even for free it was such a lose of time
LMAO, am sure it’ll be a selling success.
?
Valhalla was Ubisoft’s biggest success in history. The game made over $1 billion. Yet, it did not launch on Steam.

Says more about “modern gamers” than Ubisoft really.
I don’t know what it all “says”. But this idea that you need to be on Steam for your game to be a success isn’t true.
That $1 billion Ubisoft made on Valhalla was made by February 18 2022. The game did launch on Steam later (at $10 actually) on November 2022. But by then Ubisoft already made $1 billion.
I don’t know what Ubisoft made on Steam, but I don’t think Ubisoft actually uses Steam to make money, it just uses it to promote the franchise. If they wanted to make money, they wouldn’t be selling the game for $10.

You got it right, they add it later only after the revenue they got from their own launcher is dwindling, which is the reason why they created it in the first place.
All the platforms combined
Yeah, of that $1b, how much was it on the PC?
It’s obvious we’re speaking about the PC platform..
All platforms combined
some may be dumb, but never dumb enough to beat ubisoft
Dubiousoft
1 year after its release, AC Mirage is coming to Steam. How do I know that? Because Ubisoft knows more of “exclusivity” than I know about quantum mechanics.
imagine if console player had the same multistore stuff lol
Good, let it stay there, I do not need this on Steam. Shill companies that deserve each other, let it root there so then they can say, it outperformed so we will not release anymore AC.
its actually funny, 2 sh**ty companies jerking each other. They can have that garbage.
lol ubisoft sh**ting on their last remaining fans on steam ? whats new ? also as a company you gotta choose your fans and integrity or chinese money. We all know ubisoft piece of filth
Gamers made excuses for Epic running exclusives because it was hard to get members to sign up for an account if they didn’t but here it is 4.5 years after EGS opening and they are still doing the same thing. I don’t think it is still valid to make excuses for Epic’s business practices.
Steam is like the MySpace of gaming at this point. I get most of my games from GoG so I don’t have to deal with the DRM and Denuvo on Steam. If I want to play an Ubisoft game I just get it from Ubisoft.
Why does anyone still use Steam, why would I install a bloated Steam launcher that is full of DRM.
People are seemingly unaware that Tencent is the largest shareholder in Ubisoft after the Guillemot family in addition to them owning at least 40% of Epic Games.
Tencent has stakes in almost every gaming company. As long as they don’t have a controlling stake it’s pretty meaningless.
What’s a bigger problem is that many games are almost completely outsourced to India and China, which restrics the type of content they can produce since both these countries have stringent state laws on the type of content media companies can produce.
Elden Ring development was outsourced to Lakshya Digital in India and China to give just one example.
Is that why they reused every single Dark Souls 3 animation and shamelessly copy pasted almost every boss in the game 1-5 times?
More Tencnet conspiratorial bull$hit. They have shares in every company, they aren’t pulling all the strings in the gaming industry, chill out.
ahahahahaha, badge-collecting, review-bombing steam cultist troons btfo
i can wait
Man, Ubisoft is begging people not to play this on PC
and yet it will still sell millions because not everyone is a steam fanboy.
Is that why they’ve been suffering for the past few years?
No one gives a sh*t, so…
At this point who really cares?
I’ve recently purchased Ubisoft’s backlog at great discount with their return to Steam. It’s going to take me years to play them. By that time Ubisoft will be back on Steam. The only loser in this is Ubisoft which can be seen in their share price.
Edit(almost forgot): Epic, make piracy great again.
Years? Maybe if you play 1 hour a week and you literally play every game Ubisoft has ever made.
“The only loser in this is Ubisoft” Says the guy who in the very same paragraph said that he bought all of their recent Steam releases. ??? It may’ve taken a couple of years, but Ubi got your money in the end.
Ubi got 20%, less Steam’s cut, of the launch price.
and? They still got your money. This is pure copium on your part, bro.
Copium? Nah, I got a good deal, Ubi didn’t. Just look at the share price.
Steam is like the MySpace of gaming at this point. I get most of my games from GoG so I don’t have to deal with the DRM and Denuvo on Steam. If I want to play an Ubisoft game I just get it from Ubisoft.
Why does anyone still use Steam, why would I want DRM bloatware on my system that many developers don’t even release on anymore.
Because it’s not just a storefront; it’s a social platform where players connect, trade, create (and show off).
A social platform where Steam can ban you and you lose access to your games. I have read far too many stories of Steam doing account bans. No thanks.
Steam: Playing games should be fun. In order to ensure the best possible online multiplayer experience, Valve allows developers to implement systems that detect and permanently ban any disruptive players. Game developers inform Valve when a disruptive player has been detected and Valve applies the game ban to the account.
Steam: Community Bans are issued to an account when the account is used in ways that violate Steam’s Community Guidelines excessively. Most Community Bans will expire, but extended or even permanent bans may be issued if the prohibited activity continues or if the moderation team finds the activity egregious.
herd mentality: no steam no buy. and sunk cost fallacy: many clowns spent money and time to level their profiles, badges etc.
steam cultists don’t give a sh*t about denuvo or any drm, long as they get to add more stuff to their accounts
You’re a hypocrite then, why do you buy ubishit’s game which is ridden with 5-6 layers of drm on top of denuvo?
I guess the author read this article: https://news.ubisoft.com/en-us/article/5mPKZRzrRSeyX0oyxtlKYf/assassins-creed-mirage-launches-october-12
There is no mention of Steam or even the Epic Games Store. For PC, only mentioned Ubisoft Connect and Ubisoft+ membership. So, I think that can’t be the evidence for skipping Steam.
Anyway… No Steam, No Buy.
I was gonna buy the AC Mirage deluxe edition on Steam and another deluxe edition copy on PS5. But, that’s not gonna happen if this is true. I’ll buy a deluxe edition for my PS5 and then, I’ll wait years for the Steam release of AC Mirage. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/bd05b2f3871b82f49e77e5296d8eb009f30d534a2bc5c5173e37be6b9ad98c62.jpg
So this will be the final nail in ubicuck’s coffin.
no it wont.
People still buy this?
Nope, we didn’t read this. All Media outlets received a press release in which Ubisoft specifically said that the game will be available on PC via Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect.
Thanks for the answer.
Now I’m gonna purchase the AC Mirage Deluxe Edition for PS5 on PS Store first, and I’ll wait for the release on Steam in a few years. I’ll get my AC Mirage PC Deluxe Edition on Steam with a discount. I’m not gonna buy someting on Epic Games Store or Ubisoft Connect.
Lol like you’re wiser doing so while in fact you’re buying a Deluxe Edition twice from a predatory publisher, sheep you are
Never mind. I bought almost every Assassin’s Creed twice. On Steam, and on PlayStation. But this time, it’s not a full price, not a pre-order. Probably I would get AC Mirage on Steam with a half price.
man, i thought the people on here were a bunch of kids having a tantrum but the fanboys on r/pcgaming are having an absolute meltdown… and it is glorious!
Eh… Epic Game store for Ubisoft release’s means nothing since you can just launch the game from Ubi after you purchase it. Regardless… prob will just pay for + for a single month to rent the game and never touch it again…. if it has decent reviews
Ubisoft would do something stupid like this. I wanted to play the game because it’s a return to form but I guess I’ll have to pass.
Every time their games release on Steam, they still require their own launcher to run in the background. There’s no point in a Steam release, better to just buy it on their own launcher and not have to deal with 2 DRM software running in the background.
And since people here seem to be upset, they don’t really care about this silly 2 Launchers thing, they just want the game on Steam. To what end? To write a review? To show it off in your virtual library? You still need to install the Uni launcher.
