  1. only 20% performance boost ? last i heard about it’s performance it was sub 30fps even sometimes sub 10fps, 20% won’t help it at all.

    1. As long as its silky smooth 30fps, It doesn’t matter. The human eye can see only 23.976fps anyway.

      1. No, it’s 23.936 FPS and you forgot to mention that the human eye can only see up to 15 particles simultaneously.

    2. Well it still have less then a year before release. And besides DX12 is still so new. A lot can change from then and now. I would hope

    1. Will be the same Perf. for nV -> But for Low spec x4 CPU’s + Med. Range GPU’s will be Massive Gain in Performance. There will be Tests so we will see 😉
x4 + Radeon 270 and You can Play it at Medium in FHD for 100% in DX12

      1. To be fair, I was being a smarta$$. I have no clue how both teams will fare, so lets wait and see! 😉

  2. Yay 20 % 🙂 Now i can play with 10 fps at super low gfx! 🙂 Sweet! I can’t wait to actually play the game while it looks like crap.

Ehh. Funny how Crysis 1 looks better and runs better. Hell, Far Cry 3 does too.

    1. crysis 1 does not look and run better in the long run… and ark is still in early access. Even Crytek admitted Crysis 1 was a failure for optimization.

      1. Well maybe it was a failure, but in the end of the day when i look at both games right now.. i like Crysis more. 😛 That one is not lagging either. I should be able to make the game look okay with a 770/780 gfx cards, yet even on low/med it still looks bad and it lags.

I do hope they will improve it it. Its still kind of early, but as of right now.. i cant play it like that. Thats my entire point.

        1. Same here. I think Ark has a lot of ambition. I just hope it’s not enough to make it so developers drop the ball. I really would like to see this game do well. It’s always nice to see a none AAA dev team aim for the stars and make something really great.

  3. Yes Time for true Next-Gen is under way 😀
Remember not everybody Has: 970/980 or 390/Fury 😉 and i7 Extreme for 500-1000USD lol
90% Of Gamers still have R270-280 maby 290 and 670-680 7xx etc and 4 cores or FX x6 x4 or Phenom x4 -> Thats why DX12 is so Cool -> You Can Play ARK Now and other upComing games 😉
