Arc System Works announces BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle

Arc System Works has announced the newest installment in the BlazBlue Family: BLAZBLUE CROSS TAG BATTLE. This new fighting game is developed by Arc System Works, features the work of Arc System Works’ up-and-coming illustrator: Konomi Higuchi as the game’s lead character designer, and will be coming out in 2018.

Cross Tag Battle will feature a dream-team of characters that have never before been gathered in a single 2D fighting game. Featuring Ragna the Bloodedge from BlazBlue, Yu from Persona 4 Ultimate Arena, Hyde from UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH, and Ruby Rose from the 3D animated series RWBY, developed by the visionary creators at Rooster Teeth Productions with more to come.

Arc System Works did not reveal the platforms for which this new fighting game will be released, however – and given the fact that a) this is a BlazBlue game and b) Arc System Works’ latest fighter, DRAGON BALL FighterZ, is also coming to the PC – we are pretty sure that it will eventually come to the PC.

Arc System Works has also released a teaser trailer for BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle that can be viewed below!

  1. I dunno if it will. It’s going to feature Persona characters and yet none of those games have landed on PC.

I hope we don’t go down the slippery slope PC gamer has gone down, because those guys have droned on about RDR being or coming to PC at some point and because it’s on PSnow somehow allows them to go on and on about the game and the second one, despite neither of them being played natively on PC.

We shouldn’t resort to “we’ve had X game, so that means for a fact that we’ll get X game on our system” type of viewpoint when it comes to posting articles on console games like this. i’d rather wait for concrete confirmation, rather than the backfire of “no it’s not coming ever says game dev” news.
