AMD has released a new beta/optional driver for its graphics cards. According to the red team, the AMD Adrenalin Edition 25.2.1 Beta Driver adds support for all the latest triple-A PC games.
To be more precise, this driver adds support for Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, Avowed, Monster Hunter Wilds and Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. So, if you are planning to play any of them, you should download and install this driver.
AMD has also fixed a black screen issue that could appear in the Main Menu of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. This could happen when AMD users had Radeon Anti-Lag 2 and Ray Tracing enabled on an AMD Ryzen 7000 series GPU. Plus, you will now be able to set low black values when using MyXrayDose ViewIQ.
And that’s it. That’s all the fixes and tweaks that this new driver has. So, if you are not affected by any of them, you can safely skip it.
If, on the other hand, you want to run the latest available driver for your AMD GPU, you can download the driver from this link. Do note that this driver is only compatible with the RX 5000, 6000 and 7000 series GPUs. It will not work with older GPUs like the RX580 or the Vega 56/64.
Finally, you can find its complete changelog below.

Software has traditionally been AMD's weak spot, as evident by dropping support too early.
Thankfully, Valve made the right choice by going with the open-source AMD Vulkan driver on SteamOS.
That way, when the day comes where AMD drops official support for their RDNA architecture, Steam Deck users will be unaffected, because Valve will contine to add support for new Vulkan extensions where feasible.
"dropping support too early"
GCN1 (late 2011) was supported until 2021. 10 years is too early?
latest rx580 driver is from october 2024 omg so old………not
Except that driver is no different than the previous drivers released for the rx580. Keep up 🤡
Polaris is from the GCN architure, for fair comparison we talking NVidia GTX 900 Series, which are also on legacy support same as AMD RX 500 Series.
Get with times, instead of spreading nonsense, there no manufacturer in the world that will spend time and resources on severely outdated hardware.
In fact NVidia dropped support for the GTX 900 Series a year earlier than AMD dropped support for the RX 500 Series.
Oh yes, let's credit "Valve" for a driver that is open source.
It's literally the same 24.12.1 driver with extra game support and a few extra fixes. What are you talking about.
Quite sure they haven't used AMD the last decade.
Damn bro check out those 4 month old drivers omg so old!
