AMD has just released a new driver for its graphics cards. According to the red team, the AMD Adrenalin 25.9.1 driver offers optimal performance in Borderlands 4 and Hell is Us. So, if you are planning to play these two games, you should upgrade your driver.
AMD claims that with this driver, AMD owners will be able to enable FSR 4.0 in most games that currently support FSR 3.1. Now I don’t know if this is a universal setting, or whether you’ll have to enable FSR 4.0 per game profile. That is what you could do before. So yeah, perhaps AMD should have clarified what it meant with this.
This new driver also fixes a few bugs. For instance, it fixes some corruptions issues with Mafia: The Old Country on the Radeon RX 6600 series GPUs. It also fixes some crashes that could occur in WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers with FSR 4 enabled on the Radeon RX 9000 series GPUs. On top of that, it fixes some crashes that could happen in Monster Hunter Wilds with Ray Tracing enabled when recording with AMD Software on the Radeon RX 7600, 7700, and 7800 series GPUs.
AMD has also listed some known issues. Right now, there are crashes in The Last of Us Part II and NBA 2K on the Radeon RX 7900 series GPUs. There are also crashes in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on the Radeon RX 9000 series GPUs. Furthermore, there are some visual corruptions in GTFO on the Radeon RX 7000 series GPUs. Finally, you might get some crashes in Cyberpunk 2077 while loading a saved game with Path Tracing enabled.
Like always, you can download this new driver from AMD’s official website. Below, you can also find its complete changelog.

Hey,
I can confirm this. If the game has built-in FSR 3.1 support, the it will show up as a Toggle Mode button in the Adrenalin software app.
FSR 4 toggle.
It will only work if FSR 3.1 is also enabled in the game's settings, at least in some titles.
…
you just gotta love it that most known issues is about some games just randomly crashing.
Getting rid of the whitelisting is a great add. I just hope it makes 3.1 adoption or updates more standard.
