Back in October 2014, we informed you about 3D Realms’ Anthology; a massive bundle of 32 historic games – including all-time classics that set new standards for gameplay, like Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior and Wolfenstein 3D. And today, we are happy to report that this bundle will come to Steam next week.
The news come from 3D Realms Director Frederik Schreiber who confirmed to PCGamer the release of 3D Realms’ Anthology on Steam.
“We’re really excited about finally bringing all the 3D Realms/Apogee games to Steam. This is probably the biggest bundle ever to be released on Steam, besides the Eidos Bundle (34 games in total), and the price is absolutely killer.”
Featuring a brand new, re-rockestrated soundtrack from Interceptor Entertainment’s Andrew Hulshult, the 3D Realms Anthology is completely DRM-free, offers partial controller support for all games, and is built to work on modern Windows PCs.
Enjoy!

Are those proper ports or just the old games bundled with DosBox?
3D Realms’ games were a big part of my childhood. I can still remember the day they released that pic at 00:20, it was when they announced DNF development had ceased and they were shutting down. I couldn’t believe that after waiting all those years for DNF that it wasn’t going to happen.
I also remember when Randy Pitchford showed up at E3 wearing a Duke Nukem shirt and the forums exploded with renewed vigor when people found out Gearbox was saving the game. I’m just glad it was eventually released even if it wasn’t very good.
So yeah, I will be all over this next week.
For some reason I would prefer to see an Apogee logo over most of those games, 3D Realms doesn’t sound like family entertainment to me.
I have two questions :
1. What’s up with Wolfenstein? Doesn’t Bethesda hold that IP?
2. Someone explain this to me please: “Featuring a brand new, re-rockestrated soundtrack”. Are they talking about software synthesis? Or will they modify the games to include digital music?.
So many IPs and 3D Realms spent more than 10 years obsessing over Duke Nukem.
