QUAKE BRUTALIST JAM III

Quake Brutalist Jam III Aims to Push the Limits of the Quake Engine – Available Now

A modding team, led by Makkon and Fairweather, has released a must-have mod for the first Quake game, called Quake Brutalist Jam III. Quake Brutalist Jam III aims to push the limits of the Quake engine, and I highly recommend trying it.

Quake Brutalist Jam III is a huge community project that took over a year to make. It adds a brand-new set of weapons, new monsters, new power-ups, and a full visual update for the game. The community worked hard and created an amazing 77 maps. These maps push the Quake engine to its limits and show off the dark, heavy, and striking style of brutalist architecture.

Do note that Quake Brutalist Jam III was created for explicit use with the Ironwail source port, version 0.8.1 and above. As such, the mod may have conflicts or issues with other engines, like Quake Remaster.

The good news is that the mod has a standalone version. This is a complete QBJ3 package, bundled with LibreQuake and the Ironwail engine for immediate play. You don’t even need to purchase Quake to run it.

You can go ahead and download the mod from this link. Below, you can also find a trailer for it. This trailer highlights some of its features, so be sure to watch it.

Speaking of Quake, I also recommend trying thisĀ Path Tracing Mod for it. Created by sultim-t, this mod adds Path Tracing to this classic shooter. I’ve played Quake with this Path Tracing Mod, and it’s a must for every Quake fan. As with most Path Tracing Mods, you’ll need a high-end PC system. Still, this is a mod that every Quake fan should at least try once.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
