Modder ‘EddieShoe’ has released a new mod for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 that allows you to save everywhere, at any time. This will be a must-have mod for all KCD2 fans out there.
For those unaware, the game does not feature any traditional save system. Instead, players have to create potions or sleep in beds to save their progress.
There is a way early in the game to exploit the Save system though. All you have to do is “Save & Quit” whenever you feel like it. By doing this, you will resume from where you quit.
To save you the trouble of all this, you can use this mod that will allow you to save everywhere, whenever you want. So, make sure to download it from this link.
Once installed, you can save your progress by simply hitting the F5 key. And that’s it. Do note though that at times, when it shouldn’t be able to, the game won’t save.
I don’t really know why this feature is missing from the game. I get the “immersion” claims, but it could be an optional setting. This feels similar to the “quick travel” system of Dragon’s Dogma 2 which was not as simple as you’d expect.
KCD2 has sold incredibly well. In just one day, the game passed one million copies. It also hit over 250K concurrent players on Steam. So, it will be interesting to see whether its modding community will take off after those impressive numbers. Will we see just cosmetics? Or will it be possible to add custom quests as well?
Speaking of KCD2, you can also download a mod that enhances the faces of all NPCs and main characters. This mod replaces the vanilla faces with 4K versions of them. So, make sure to get it as it will enhance the game’s visuals.

Not having a handy saving system in a game in 2025 is borderline stvpidity.
Immersion has nothing to do with this, people also have real life, were one needs to close the game safely knowing that the 4 hours progress is saved.

The game is woke, the studio was bought out by embracer and they made it esg compliant. Henry the main character and his womanizer bro hans can both be gay, its medieval brokeback mountain. There is an african dude who is saying that european culture is terrible and they are a bunch of savages and his culture treats women better. Then your girlfriend saves you like a girlboss and then she is doing it with the black guy…BLACKED and if you take him out she gets mad and leaves you. In one quest you have to infiltrate' the "antisemites" camp, something that didnt exist back then as they were kicked out of everything and then you have to help him make a golem. LMAO.
The game is super woke guys, a bait and switch, its not based, they even locked the doors to churches so you cant go inside. The writing is marvel tier and its goofy, its not as good as the first game, its a bait and switch.

Henry is a pre-established character. So by giving gay options, they're basically saying that he is at the very least bi-sexual. And there are plenty of other real-life choices that the game doesn't give you so that argument doesn't work here at all.

when you got only 2 choices and are more or less the same, no i wouldnt call this game a good rpg, you can go into everyone's house and steal their stuff but you cant make that many dialogue choices that actually change anything, your girlfriend gets blacked regardless, its how you react that matters. Making canonically straight womanizer characters gay is just lgbtq coomer game.

Instead, I just got SKALD – Against the Black Priory, and it seems to be “clean” of any kind of woke content. Great Ultima-like RPG experience so far.

Failguard is still more pozzed, but it's one of those products that only exists to shift the Overton window, which in turn normalizes the progressive filth that is in KCD2.

This is to avoid save scumming. I downloaded a mod that does the same for kcd1 and found myself save scumming a lot without even thinking about it. Makes sense that they omitted it but for everyone else here's the mod
"Save scumming" actually makes most games way more fun, because it allows you to try different things.
This is why I STILL consider after all these years that late 90s-early 2000s games are the best ever. At least, most of them had quicksaves back then. Deus Ex, Splinter Cell 1-2-3, Thief 1-2, No One Lives Forever 1-2, Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, Arx Fatalis, VTMB, etc. Exactly the type of game that allows you to try multiple paths and gameplay styles.

I respect what the game goes for, but I'll definitely be using this when i play it, because the game already takes a lot of time at a slow pace and i want to try out the possibilities without fcking up my game.

Cos there are sooooooo many modern games that are literally ruined by a lack of a proper save system.
From the comments glad I skipped this game. I got enough of it from the first one which was and is still buggy, bad mechanics and was never anything but a modern take on a time period they chose. Anyone who claimed it was accurate and such is delusional and we can see it much easier in the new one. The tribesters and cadres are very confident they've got all the goypigs under control so they get more and more over the top and blatant as time goes by.
