Modder ‘MaxStrengthWizard’ has released a new mod for Baldur’s Gate 3 that aims to be the ultimate mod that can restore content that was cut from it. This is a must-have for everyone who still plays Baldur’s Gate 3. So, let’s see what it brings to the table.
This mod restores 30 weapons that were cut from the game. It also restores six armors, two shields, five helmets, and six gloves and boots. We also get seven amulets, six rings, and twelve consumables.
Two abilities that were cut from the Vanilla Items have been restored. These are Twilit Shroud (added back to Ring of Twilight) and Regret (added back to Sorrow). There is also an optional file that brings back four Class Abilities and Feats.
Now, the cool thing about this mod is that it makes every single item available through a treasure table. These are the tables that define what a merchant sells, what an NPC drops on death, what a chest has, etc. Moreover, all the magic items in this mod are properly configured for Gale consumption and tagged for Tara’s special merchant list.
Those interested can go ahead and download the mod from this link.
Speaking of Baldur’s Gate 3, you may want to try this cool mod for it. This is a real-time combat mod. As its title suggests, it turns this turn-based RPG into an action RPG. In its current state, the Brawl – Real Time Combat Mod is only meant to be used with standalone game modes, like Trials of Tav. However, its creator is working on adding it to the SP campaign.
Another cool mod is this one, which adds a Warcraft-inspired custom campaign to the game. Forsaken is basically a recreation of the Undead starting zone “Tirisfal Glades” from World of Warcraft (Classic/Vanilla).
In October 2024, we also shared a video that showcased the game via a first-person perspective. This is another cool concept, though it takes a lot of mods to make it work. Still, if you ever wanted to play BG3 in first-person, you can do so.
Finally, you can download this HD Texture Pack. Created by lexo1000, this pack overhauls the textures of all environments. The modder has upscaled all non-virtual textures (aka terrain, vegetation, architecture, clutter, monster skins for a total of 1313 files) using Topaz Labs. This means that the modded textures will retain the art style of the vanilla textures. So, make sure to get it if you own a high-end GPU!
