DONTNOD Entertainment has announced that Life is Strange has sold 3 million units worldwide. In addition, the team revealed that it is currently working on a new Life is Strange game. This new Life is Strange game is being developed by the very same team that was behind the first game.
Unfortunately, this title won’t be present at this year’s E3. And even though the team claimed that it can’t wait to tell us all about it when the time is right, it is now hard at work ensuring it is the very best game it can create.
Still, this is great news for all fans of the first Life is Strange game.
DONTNOD Entertainment has also shared the following video in which the team thanks its fans for supporting it!

John is the founder and Editor in Chief at DSOGaming. He is a PC gaming fan and highly supports the modding and indie communities. Before creating DSOGaming, John worked on numerous gaming websites. While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”

Haven’t played the first and won’t be thanks to Square Enix’s recent d*uchebag practices. These types of games don’t really interest me to begin with anyways.
Try it. It’s amazing
no its not. it may be amazing if your a easily brainwashed 13 year old who consumes leftist and marxist propaganda, but its a terrible game.
at least it was something different but yea, it seemed way too aimed at teens for my taste. looked nice and felt original but couldnt play for more than an hour before i quit for good xd
Castrated quest game.
In more ways than one.
yep.
Hope the next one is a shooter.
Stupid gun!

Yeah, when I see this game’s title, I always remind of this pathetic scene. Life is Strange is a a cringy liberal SJW emo paradise.
I’d say it’s more like David Cage in Hipsterville.
“It’s the men who need to be checked.”
Not the women, though, they’re not dangerous in the least…….
Ever.
wtf did i just watch? wtf? Seriously, this game is getting a sequel but not wolf among us? Really guys?
Lol you ‘Muricans and your obsession with guns.
I’m Uruguayan.
Ah, fair enough. But I’m sure the vast majority who agreed with you are from there 😛
I’m not sure what there is to agree with politically, it’s just funny that a character who was acting like such a stereotypical idiot by handling a dangerous tool with complete disregard for safety ended up shooting herself and Max’s first reaction is to blame the gun rather than the idiot.
I’m aware but I’m still pointing out the responses people are making towards that clip. They see it as some kind of propaganda to make people think that perhaps it’s not a wise idea to carry around legal firearms. Seeing how people are always on the edge when it comes to blaming guns for anything they instantly call it a gun control agenda and begin to make a big deal out of it. To be honest it’s kinda humourous to me because it’s one of those never ending debates where people are trying to see who has the loudest voice. No such thing as a middle ground for things like this.
And make main character male in 30’s voiced by Nolan North or Troy Bayker./Sarcasm off.
YESSSSS. Now you’re talking. That’s a game I’d play.
better than playing as a lesbian
Yeah, where you gun down all the hipsters in the game!
gross. it was literally reddit memes and sjw brainwashing. its literally leftist propoganda aimed at kids and teens.
That doesn’t explain the game’s popularity. Personally I could never complete episode 1 but when I replayed it for the sake of showing it to my friend he was really immersed in the whole thing and wanted to find out what happens next. And he’s not a big fan of things becoming too political in entertainment either.
It was a decently intriguing Butterfly Effect style story, if you can stomach the characters I can easily see how you could get hooked on the story, and people who haven’t been on the receiving end of hipster SJW shenanigans aren’t going to have any reasons to find the characters unappealing, so there you go.
AAA is really f**king doomed when “games” like this gets successful
Blue haired freaks in my PC? Not even worth a pirate, hope they slap a good Denuvo on the next game so pirates may be free of the SJW.
DSOGAMING a place to hate on any game the site shows. MAN people seriously resident evil 7 you all hate and now this.
DSO GAMING = Dark side of gaming, you’re welcome
Ah, the game seemingly made for videogame ‘journalists’ at Polygon.
Jesus this is what annoys me of people today. “SJW PROPAGANDA!!!!” Who cares if they were being a bit PC. Being a bit PC does not equal a bad game. FFs they aren’t mutually exclusive terms. A dev can push for diversity but still write great characters. LiS was a good game. Had some issues but it was good nevertheless. You all are too damn touchy.
Well that’s something anyone should come to expect from the Internet as a whole. People get defensive over a title that’s clearly not aimed for them and seeing it sell extremely well makes them somewhat agitated and confused. The game has as much right as any other to exist and do well. And who cares if the game has a message that’s very right wing? Most things in entertainment clearly show religious ideologies but I don’t see the none-believers go all up in arms about it. Heck, wasn’t Wall-E built from the ground up to carry those messages?
Like I mentioned before I could never finish the first episode since the game felt a bit too mellow for my liking? And I usually love to play slow paced games. I can imagine the game gets more interesting later on but I really didn’t have the patience at the time. Maybe I’ll give it another look some day.
I think calling it propaganda is very exaggerated, IMO the game is clearly a labor of love, only from hipsters, I have no problem with that but I am going to make fun of the result if I find it funny. I think it was a pretty competent game as far as Telltale-esque interactive movies go, lots of things to examine, interesting if somewhat inconsistent time travelling mechanics and it actually had puzzles and such, I mostly don’t like it because of the characters and the way they talk, made me wish there was an option to not save anybody and nuke the whole town. Also I’d say the game actually is a little pandering to the SJW side of things, for example off the top of my head I remember there was graffiti where the dudebro caricatures were calling Max a feminazi seemingly for no reason and all the villains except one seemed a lot like what SJWs think normal people are like.
awesome. i’ll be there day one.
I loved the first Life is Strange series. Hopefully they make the next one on Linux for day 1 and put it DRM free but seeing as how the first LIS still isn’t DRM free maybe i’m expecting too much.
A tie between shenmue and lufia 2. although i feel metal gear solid 1 or 2 are up there as well.
