CI Games has announced that Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 will be delayed until April 25th. According to the team, this decision was made in order to complete some final implementations based on feedback CI Games received during the beta.
Marek Tyminski, CEO of CI Games, said:
“We’ve worked tirelessly creating a whole new Sniper Ghost Warrior experience set in an ambitiously crafted open world new to the series. While it’s an unfortunate decision to delay the game one last time, we believe these final changes will result in a better experience for players worldwide on day one. Thank you for your patience – we know the wait will be worth it.”
In Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3, players take the role of an American sniper named Jonathan North, who drops into enemy territory in northern Georgia as the country is dissolving into a bloody civil war.
Players will be able to explore large open-world maps with dynamic weather conditions, and a day and night cycle that impacts play and player decision-making.
Players will be also able to customize weapons, equipment, accessories, vehicles, and a drone, and utilize the three pillars of gameplay to their liking: Sniper, Ghost, and Warrior.

I can wait.
Are those final implementations Denuvo?
PR rep: “We denuvo what you’re talking about.”
(He Sweating bad, heavy breathing)
You notice a small red light on his forehead.
Something fast travels past your head.
The PR guy goes limp and falls out of his chair.
You stare into the distance but to see the killer, but he is a sniper; a ghost-like warrior.
Haha, that’s an awesome! Isn’t Denuvo finished already??? I mean every single gamer complains about it and every pirate can visit his bay to download a version of any game that is worked around denuvo…
To be honest I didn’t know that CI Games was going to implement this sh**t in SGW 3
I don’t see why they are spending money on it. Most people don’t even know what that game is, there’s a lost of profit right off the bat.
I really hope that SGW 3 will be a cool game and there are loads of people who love playing sniping games
Yeah, that’s why ever game of Halo is a race to the sniper rifle.
It’s either DRM or poor optimization, either way it doesn’t sound good.
It doesn’t have ghost of a chance
eh, maybe they need more time? CiG is a small developer, they don’t have many people. For me its a good, ofcourse i want to play this game badly, but also I prefer playing great games!
It’s going to be a great game?
I prefer playing great games too, but only when they are released and have proved themselves worthy.
I’ve played Beta, and loved it. The delay is not a problem, CIG just need more time. I understand it. When you doing a huge project, you always needs time. Easy. Game have to be great, you will see yourself. I belive in that like @disqus_SLu1vDDhlj:disqus
I’ll believe it when I see the end results, rather than calling something great before it’s finished.
definitely they need more time if they decide to delay again this game. But after beta, I might to wait even a month. Still, It was in my opinion better beta than GR ( yep, even thses optimisation issues ) And I’ll keep on mind what I saw in SE4 ( for me – boring.. boooring! )
I prefer to wait a little longer than play some crap made in 5 minutes ad released too soon. Remeber AC: Unity? 🙂
Not everything becomes perfect from delays, it’d be completely foolhardy to believe in such a thing.
@mikeheruer:disqus is right, but I choose to belive they’ll fix all those bugs rom Beta version (well, there wasn’t many of them, but still they need to be fixed)
good thing, the closed alpha/beta/whatever was horrible
A.I acting like garbage, enemies sometimes vanish after a certain distance (probable console optimization for conservative draw-distance) and well… it wasn’t very impressive
looks like Far Cry 4 with some Metro last light stealth formula (can play non-lethal if you wish)
I happy that the game is a mix of both games you mention. I also think that it shows some small similarities to Hitman. Hope that they will fix all the issues that were present at beta tests, even tho I liked the beta a lot and I think that AI was pretty demanding. I had a hard time playing it on medium difficulty
in my case it was the opposite, sit on a rock with a ladder
shoot people with a sniper and then keep silent and let them come to you
i kid you not they’ll go 1 by 1 through to the ladder and get shoot in the face, even when you use a loud gun they’ll still keep at it
i’m not sure if it’s intentional or because it’s a beta, but enemies behave in a very robotic way…
i guess we’ll see if anything changed once the game is released
Yeah sure you are right. All we can do is wait. I climbed on this hill during beta and after the enemies realized where I was a couple of them tried to flank me so I barley stood alive
To be honest I can;t agree with you AI sucked. I had real problems with enemies while playing Beta version.
I liked the Beta, it was a better representation of what a Ghost Recon game should of been, in my opinion.
It sure needed some more polishing and a few details but the game was on point with what they wanted to achieve.
AI’s sure could be better but the rest of the gameplay mechanics were all well put together.
What worries me more is the “re-playability” factor since after also trying Ghost Recon Wildlands…even with its coop aspect, it wasn’t as “fun” or engaging at all once you tried to do the same missions more than twice.
In Sniper Ghost Warrior at least it felt like each mission was a bit more of a challenge, even with its not so great AI. The setting also helped a bit with this game and the ability to change day/night times at will.
Well, we’ll see how will it turn out. I hope they won’t delay it anymore and 25th April we’ll enjoy fantastiv fully improved game.
I was happy with what I’ve seen during the beta tests. That’s way it seams strange for me that they are postponing the game. Well I’ll have to wait a bit longer than
It doesn’t seem strange for me. I liked the beta but there were some small bugs. Thanks to the delay we’ll play the game with no bugs
I know that those were just minor bugs so I thought that they would be able to fix it before 4th April. Which game style did you like while playing the open beta?
Well, it’s only 3 weeks more, right? Maybe those were more serious than you thought or maybe they wanted to be sure they could do everything it gets to be perfect game.
Sad news, but i think that it allows CIGames to implement few changes inspired by fan feedback after beta version
Yeah, it’s probably all for the best. I liked the beta tests but they surely have to work on optimization. Have you played the beta? If so, have you experienced any bugs/glitches?
Important thing is they’re working hard to make this game great, not leaving it as it was in Beta 🙂
well, as for me, this is really cool that CIG replied to fan feedback after openbeta, even if this caused three weeks delay
I don’t mind playing this game 3 weeks later. There’s a new story trailer and it looks great. I hope that the game will be awesome https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mxb-DgD0SXg
Finally something about storyline. I love it. This is the thing I missed in SE4 – that game was all about killing.
It’s great they did trailer about story finally, because it was a mistery until now. And I really like.
Oh yeah it’s awesome! I hope that we will see a lot of plot twists in the game and it won’t be as straight forward as some people say
I love the trailer. Looks like Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 will have some terrific story and to me it’s very important. It could be another game about running around and killing targets, but there are too many of them. This is fresh.
I love that you’re not being dropped at a given location and have an objective to kill 200 bad guys. Here the enemies are much more demanding and you really have to plan all your steps
I watched it and now I’m very happy to see they’re doing it. Side missions are always great in any game 🙂
LOL 😀 This is actually first time IGN’s video made m laugh 🙂 I guess we have to remember to shoot them in the d…s 🙂
I love the idea. Side missions mean there will be extra few hours of playing 🙂 More enemies to kill, more opportunities to use our gadgets and all those awesome weapons.
