Each and every month, Ubisoft has been offering a free PC game in order to celebrate its 30th anniversary. And since a lot of gamers may have missed some of these special offers, Ubisoft decided to offer all the games that were featured in the Ubi30 PC giveaway.
This basically means that from today and until December 18th, PC gamers can get for free Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Splinter Cell, Rayman Origins, The Crew, Beyond Good & Evil, Far Cry: Blood Dragon and Assassin’s Creed 3.
All you have to do is visit this link and acquire your free copies of the aforementioned titles.
Have fun everyone!

They’ll just pretend it was a DDOS attack 🙂
On a more serious note, there are a lot of good titles on that list. Looks like the older the game, the better it is though…
I just redeemed it on 3 different accounts.
Why?
Because why not. I have a bunch of accounts so I can apply for closed testing, so far it was worked out.
Does anyone else think Assassin’s Creed 3 is a bit out of place?
What to you mean?
Like most of those games have an almost Legendary status.
For me, it looks like this:
Michael Jordan, Babe Ruth, LeBron James, Cristiano Ronaldo, and that one kid from gym class that stuck crayons up his nose.
The Crayola kid the joins the NFL. There, happy?
I thought you meant others games are cheap and crappy except AC3 which is my opinion
Ass3 is ok, gameplay wise. Story wise it is beyond stupid, and the ending of that game is the reason for my alcoholism. I can never forget what i have seen.
all AC games had “stupid” stories, i didn’t like conor whining about everything like many other people but his silent characteristic made him attractive, he had more depth than any other AC protagonist (except for ezio) yet i can’t tell what made him so terrible, maybe his voice actor maybe his design and maybe that laughable charles lee assassination scene, regardless, i think ac3 was the best one
I am going to fight you, but I have no beef with conor. It’s most just the story with f*cking aliens and jesus blowing up the world which mentally scared me. In the animus the story felt like a Magic School Bus episode and outside was cancer.
lel, got it.
WTF since when that p.o.s “CREW” is Legendary?
I don’t consider the crew a game, thus I don’t need to mention it.
Meh,
I actually think AC 3 is rather underated. I won’t say it’s legendary by any means but a romp through revolutionary America isn’t the worst thing a person could do with thier time if they havn’t played it yet. It was the genesis of the Ship combat that made AC 4 so addictive for many. The biggest detractor at the time of release was it ran poorly on most contemparary cards, but now days that shouldn’t be an issue for most.
If you havn’t played it, but can stomach the general AC formula I say give it a go, it’s better than Unity IMO which is the only Creed game to date I havn’t been able to playthrough
I found Unity far more interesting ( and gorgeous… that Global Illumination is beautiful, even if baked in/not realtime ).
AC3 could have been more interesting without the Forrest Gump effect. ACU did the opposite though and if you don’t play coop missions you barely notice you are playing during the French Revolution.
I would have to agree that naval combat was introduced with AC3 but the game left me the impression it was the same rinse’n’repeat formula with some extra gameplay that didn’t quite fit into the whole package ( not as bad as AC Revelations though :).
Missed AC3 because of server overload initially, gonna have to grab this later.
Spoiler Alert: Aliens wipe out humanity and you are Jesus and you are the last male on earth and have to repopulate.
Lol. Haven’t played any of em since Brotherhood and I remember absolutely nothing about it. Story is garbage anyways.
I wasn’t joking. That is the ending.
I know. That lol was because of how off the rails batsh*t insane the plot is.
These games are already free, thanks UBI for nothing !
Shiver me timbers! You’re right!
Gee golly whiz, that sounds amazing.
And it all requires you to download and install Uplay =D. Running old ports on modern OS’s, totally nothing going to go wrong at all.
I can confirm every game works on windows 10. However The Crew is terrible so act as if that games not one of the freebies.
They all “work” on Win 10. You’ll likely need to tweak Beyond Good and Evil to have it working properly though.
I think all of them are drm free. So back up the files somewhere and note down the registry values and you are set to play them without uplay or anything.
saw this coming from a mile
I saw it from 2 miles away.
Just two? You think so small!
I, myself, personally… well…… I SAW IT COMING OVER NINE THOUSAND MILES AWAY!
;D
I saw it from infinity miles away.
I saw it coming after 25% of their stocks were taken up =D.
Ziiiiiiiiiing
But srs though, they are doing all this late stuff to stave off Vivendi. They’ve had years to catch up with Steam and Origin, only now do they do so when they face a hostile takeover. Shows how assholish they are tbh.
Assholish or not, free games for everybody :D. If they don’t do something good by their own will, might as well do it by fear, which is even more satisfying considering this is Ubisoft :)). And it goes to show that consumers (or at least informed consumers) still have some power left over shady companies.
Anyway, with channels like Jim Sterling, Ubisoft won’t get away that easy anymore if they pull off some more backhanded and shady stunts.
Whatever you do, don’t say “infinity+1 miles away.”
TO INFINITY, AND BEYOND!
;D
Ubi is in the holiday spirit, very nice of them
Already owned AC3; now it gave me the game twice; very weird. Twice owned a terrible game it’s like Uplay is mocking my bad choices.
I already owned FC3 Blood Dragon (had it bundled with Call of Juarez Gunslinger on Steam, but you know… Uplay is needed regardless…). Now I own it twice…
there is one major upside of Uplay over GOG that PC has sorely needed and that is to backup your save games to there servers. If GOG can implement that then yes gog will be superior. I bought witcher 3 on gog to directly support CDPR as they will get the most money from the sale but downside is i have to backup the save files to another hard drive. Think what i might do is store it on livedrive or google drive at least that way its safe online but its still ease of use to have with uplay, origin, steam backing it up automatically
uplay is actual fine. one of the things i find that messes up games is the uplay overlay, it varies from patch to patch BUT turn it off and youll never have a problem again plus it still backs up anyway
You’d be right on the money. THe only reason why Ubisoft are only just now doing what their competitors have been doing for years, is mainly because they don’t want to be taken over by Vivendi.
With them pulling out fake smiles and “remember me, I’m your buddy” kind of behaviour, they think they will evade being crippled by their future masters. Thing is, if Vivendii don’t buy them, then Ubisoft will just go back to their old ways. It won’t be long until they start treating PC players like 3rd rate citizens and calling them pirates again.
Except, pairing everyone together and slamming them as equals solves nothing and this whole “we gotta rap them all, till all of them get their acts straight” doesn’t do anything either. It just means that you don’t want to cripple one over the other first to sort out the rest.
Yes the others are just as crap, but they aren’t, nor will they ever be equals in that regard. Activision is king at tossing out CoD and charging high, not giving a damn for video gaming in general. EA rules with their price gouging and season passes as well as their stance on Origin. Ubisoft are kings of releasing shabby and busted high priced games, filled with actual macro trans of all practices.
Ubisoft are doing this directly out of fear of the hostile takeover that Vivendi have planned for them. It is like a child that knows they are going to be punished, so they try doing their chores anyway, when they should have done them beforehand.
I think it’s unwise to boldly claim that a publisher like ubisoft, will never ever go back to their old ways. History tells us differently for all companies out there.
And yet you’re on the side that thinks they are redeeming themselves, using EA as the target when really it’s Vivendi that is the root cause of all of this.
I’ve been able to get EA games cheaply from GMG.
You say best, because you;’re invented and now that you’ve told me you are very much happy and invested with them, you will argue for them. Think of it as Stockholm Syndrome, where you are invested and thus have to defend your investment, lest it be “invalidated” by others.
Either way a deal that was forced on them doesn’t override everything else.
Yes, yes you are. IF you weren’t anywhere as invested then you’d see no such need to defend their side and praise them despite all the crap they keep doing and the mistakes they hardly ever improve upon, all as well as acting when under threat, rather than at their own accord.
The moves I see them making are moves their competitors have done yonks ago and moves their competitors did at their own accord, not with a gun held at their head.
Ubisoft does all of this out of fear. They absolutely fear being taken over by an entity like Vivdendi, so much so, that they would rather get on their knees and act like they were your buddy the whole time.
They will go back to their old ways once they gain their lost shares and ward off Vivendi. I’ve seen it with Ubi’s competitors, Ubi is not impervious to making the same mistakes.
Or you could just not feel the need to defend Ubisoft, keep buying into whatever they toss your way and go on with life?.
Those who are in fact invested in their hobbies and products, are far, far more likely to defend what they are into than those who are simply passing by and aren’t as interested, thus not feeling a need to interject and defend anything.
You don’t play much, yet you’re willing to game and play Ubisoft games while defending their side. Pretty sure you’re invested in your hobby, like it or not.
Why not just quit gaming if it’s easy for you to not care about the games?.
There’s nothing wrong with uplay, companies are allowed to distribute their own products
Four of those games are early 2000s bargain bin material that has been effectively free for a decade. Then there’s two random games that noone liked (Crew and AC3).
Blood Dragon is the only legit offering.
