Ok…we need new setup to play in old Skyrim with mods…just…no, thanks.
What about new animations? Or proper light placements? Or properly modelled environments (and feet)? Are we still going to rely on mods to do what you should have done?
“Yes.”
Yes what?
“What about new animations? Or proper light placements? Or properly modelled environments (and feet)? Are we still going to rely on mods to do what you should have done?”
I’m answering for them, since they’ll never do it themselves;
“Yes.”
So mods it is. I feared so. I’m still amazed Bioware gets more hate than Bethesda, considering.
Oh, Bethesda gets hate, problem is, it’s drowned under their Bethesda Sycophants Club.
They’re basically like Blizzard at this point, except the controversy isn’t as powerful &/or public with them (yet).
A couple more Fallout 4’s however, especially with that disgustingly bad repackaged Gamebryo Engine, instead of, say, id Tech 5/6, they’ll be as openly controversial as anyone, if not even more so.
I think they get a pass for the mod support… which shouldn’t be used to finish the game or fix what the devs won’t. The problem is we are sucking it up and love them for it.
Bethesda makes unfinished, broken games. Bioware makes games that even if they were technically excellent (they aren’t) they would still suck. That’s the difference. Bethesda games are fixable, as proven by mods. Bioware games are rotten at the core.
“Bethesda games are fixable, as proven by mods” And you think that’s cool? That modders finish the job that devs wouldn’t?
“Rotten at the core”. Alright then.
No, I do not think that’s cool. I merely think that getting stabbed and surviving is better than getting stabbed and dying. Doesn’t mean getting stabbed is good.
Fixable isnt the word i would use. I would say improve but the mods that “fix” my game make it as stable as a jenga skyscraper.
Special edition for next-next-next gen peasants’ boxes?
Not to mention the original PC version even modded has much lower HW requirements.
Not always. There are quite a couple of mods that require a beefy rig depending on what kind of visuals you want. There’s NL ENB, SMIM as well as the 2K textures whose requirements exceed this if you want to have them all together. And that’s on DX9.
now the console have mod support…
now with ps4pro pc gaming will become useless LOL.
mod support? you mean a pistol that shoot nukes? Thats your “mod support”
no ironman or batman mods, no nude mods, no enb mods, no weapon mods, is this your idea of mod support? Consoles will always be closed down system which is why pc will be superior, as for something that is useless it is the ps4 a brand new console since you cant upgrade your ps4 with ZERO actual improvement, so much for pc being expensive due to having to upgrade when you do it on console too but you pay more for each game due to royalty fees and mp.
PWND
PS4 mods can only use assets that ship with the game, so you can’t even use custom skin packs, let alone the highly advanced mods that rebalance all the mechanics or massive quest mods that outdo the official DLC. You’re way less fun of a peasant troll than hvd out Amiga.
lol PS4 pro exist because sony was afraid of PC.
Who’s scared of the minority market.
yeah because the piracy is high! denuvo fail to combat the piracy and will die with pc gaming LOL!
This people play on pc because you can get game FREE!
PC gaming = spending 1k dollar rigs for negligible graphical increase
PC gamers spend more time staring at rocks than actually playing the game.
‘negligible graphical increase’ my buttocks. Much better visuals and framerate would be more appropiate. Also, a wider peripheral selection, better control scheme, case customization, shorter loading times, propper modding, cheaper games, whiter teeth, smoother skin, you name it.
Is this version of Skyrim going to be 64 bit? That should translate to huge performance improvements using ENBoost now and more a more stable experience overall.
Yes.
Yeah, it’s basically the one actually good feature from this “Remastering”; they’re switching from the ridiculous 32-bit they were using before, to 64-bit.
How the heck is a GTX 470 even remotely comparable to a HD 7870? O_o
^master race.
^makes no sense
AFAIK skyrim has always a bit faster on geforce hardware. my only complain was why bethesda did not recommend the same AMD gpu from GTX470 era lol.
Hell, it must be a typo. The devs probably meant the HD 5870 instead of the HD 7870. Even the HD 5870 is better than the GTX 470, if only slightly.
Doesn’t have to be comparable. Just has to get similar fps in this specific game.
Are you implying that the requirements are legit and that you may need significantly more power from the Radeon GPU to get the same performance as a significantly lower powered Geforce GPU? Because if that’s the case, that’s messed up… really messed up.
Thats a huge increase, makes me wonder how would new vegas special edition be like.
I don’t really care about this, but I’d kill to have New Vegas ported over to a 64 bit engine. Opens up so much more potential for modding.
Will never f*cking happen, but regardless – OH SH*T, YES!
Fallout 4 was crap, there i said it and the dlc was even worse. Bethesda should not be allowed to touch this series ever again.
HE SAID IT!
😀
the day i will be able to run new vegas without stutter with mods, will be a great day, the engine is not made for the crazy amount of memory that custom textures use. It just cant load high quality textures on environment, hud and weapons at the same time, add enb on that one and its super slow, the loadings alone are uber slow. But what i really really want is better shadows.
this is an old game you know
I actually liked the godrays. Ironically the only thing i liked about the game.
I like God rays in general, but the way they were represented in F4 was shoddy. There are other games that make use of them and also don’t require super godlike rigs for them.
I thought this wasn’t coming to PC coz we’ve been enjoying this “remaster” for years already with the help of 3rd party software 0_0
Whatever they think will make an extra buck! ;D
Besides, the moment people found out it was 64-bit, there’d have been a campaign to get a PC version anyway.
Yeah, that’s the only redeeming thing in this “remaster”
My old 8320 is still getting the job done. Can’t believe how long it’s held up. Still maxing out games too. I’ll likely upgrade when Zen hits though…
