KILLING FLOOR 2 fully releases on November 18th

Tripwire Interactive today announced that its highly successful co-op sci-fi horror FPS game, KILLING FLOOR 2, will be officially launching globally on November 18th.

The digital PC base version of KILLING FLOOR 2 will be available to purchase for $29.99 (US), ?19.99 (UK) and €26.99 (EU) via Steam and other digital outlets as well as the PC Digital Deluxe version for $39.99 (US) /£29.99 (UK) /€39.99 (EU). In collaboration with Deep Silver and Iceberg Interactive, the deluxe content of KILLING FLOOR 2 will be included in the retail and digital versions for $39.99 (US) /£29.99 (UK) /€39.99 (EU).

In KILLING FLOOR 2, players descend into continental Europe where the outbreak caused by Horzine Biotech’s failed experiment has quickly spread and gained unstoppable momentum, essentially paralyzing the European Union.

“Just one month after the events in the original KILLING FLOOR, the specimen clones are everywhere and civilization is in disarray; communications have failed, governments have collapsed, and military forces have been systematically eradicated. The people of Europe know survival and self-preservation too well and lucky survivors have gone into hiding.”

Here are the game’s key features:

  • Visceral Gore – Killing Floor 2 ramps up the gore with a proprietary, high powered persistent blood system bringing new levels of fidelity to the genre. Players will send entrails, severed limbs, and blood flying as they wade through hordes of enemies. But they need to watch out! If caught, enemies will rip them, and their entire party limb from limb
  • 6 player co-op or solo play— A multitude of varied playable characters await for players to choose from as they enter the fray in online co-op mode or solo mode for those willing to brave the horrific specimens alone
  • 12 Player PvP Versus Survival Game Mode – Be the Zed! A 12 player PvP mode where two teams take turns playing Humans vs. Zeds in a pair of short matches. In the first match, one team plays Humans and the other Zeds until the humans all die during a single round or they beat the boss. For the second match the teams switch sides and when the battle is completed both teams receive a score based on their performance and the higher score wins!
  • Terrifying Zeds – New enemies and fan favorites from the original game are back with expanded and smarter artificial intelligence, dishing out powerful attacks, working as a group to weaken the player’s party and pushing the challenge level and fear factor to new levels
  • Unique Blend Of Weaponry – From modern militaristic assault rifles, brutal improvised makeshift weapons, classic historical guns, and off the wall “Mad Scientist” weapons, Killing Floor 2 has a unique blend of killing tools that will satisfy any gamer
  • Expanded Perk System – Perks from the original game have been reimagined with more added to the fold. All perks now progress with meaningful talent choices that amplify different play styles, giving players a progression path that is expansive and full of rewarding milestones
  • Brutal Melee Combat – Killing Floor 2 reinvents melee combat completely. Players now have control over the type of melee attacks they can perform, enabling them to deliver bone-breaking crippling attacks to Zeds

Enjoy!

  1. It’s weird to see games that could be played for ages announced again. But that’s the charm of early access…

      1. Yeah, and Kerbal Space Program was the best at it. Available in 2011, it was officially released in goddamn 2015.

        1. There’s another one as well. Look up AirMech; it released in EA back in 2012 and it’s still going.

      2. I recently came back to it, and the current state is still far from what one would call stable. The spectator UI stays when you become a player, and the Steam overlay fails to start half of the time.

        1. I don’t have any problems with the Steam overlay. And that first problem was fixed recently, as far as I know.

BTW, did you know you could try out the SWAT class already (+ get some fixes) in beta?

          1. The levels carry over, as far as I remember. I tried out the Sharpshooter beta some time ago and had everything levelled up.

  2. Been there since the first day of EA.

KF2 so far has been an immense disappointment and the majority of the game’s community holds the same position, they’ve done so many sh*tty things such as introducing a CSGO style crate system just months after EA began, a year before what the newly announced release date is.

    1. agreed so much. not to mention the sjw pandering and all the censorship if anyone criticizes them on there forums and steam forums.

      1. Where did they pander to SJW? I don’t recall such a thing. And they don’t really censor criticism. They closed that “Join group to end cash key gambling RNG micro-transactions” (even the title was overdramatized) thread because people were being maniacal there and greatly increased toxicity of the forums.
I saw much constructive, humane criticism on their forums and it didn’t get banned.

    2. Out of curiosity: what did you hate except for the crate system?
It’s hard to trust Steam or Metacritic reviews because they are ridden with whiny brats and boycotters.

      1. Very boring progression system that barely evolved from the last game. Classes don’t feel unique enough and different enough.
Customisation locked behind the crate system and RNG drops that are quite rare, after you get most of the perks you want there’s no point in playing.
No interesting new modes, the PVP zombie mode is absolutely terrible and a waste of time, nothing like L4D’s mode.
The best thing about the game is just the detail they put into the guns and gunplay.
All weapons were mocapped with firearms expert at 240 fps, so you can see literally all the individual parts of the gun vibrate like in real life.

    3. can people shut up about the crate system? sure maybe it sucks but who cares? if you care about skins and what not thats your issue. theyre just cosmetics anyhow so for those of us that dont care, theyre perfect here because they never get in the way. its sad that the only example you pick of why youre disappointed is the cosmetic system, that alone should say something about the “game’s community”

  3. I liked the first game but the second is meh, there is something with it, i cant explain it, also they still going with arena, when are they gonna do missions like the original mod or l4d? There are some amazing mod campaigns.

    1. I also feel that something’s off. I played hundreds of hours with the first one, but this one feels weird, out of balance? I don’t know, but the fun element is just not there.

  4. purchased it once I could during EA, same old game. Which isn’t entirely a bad thing. However I put in my support for the company, as their insane support of the first entry is definitely something I can stand behind.
