CRYENGINE member ‘currve‘ has decided to recreate a scene from Star Wars: Battlefront in CRYENGINE. Star Wars: Battlefront is powered by DICE’s Frostbite 3 engine, and the following comparison shows some of the differences between these two engines. In case you’re wondering, we believe that the Frostbite 3-powered version looks bettter. Do note, however, that Star Wars: Battlefront was created by a triple-A team, whereas the recreation was made by an individual fan. It’s a pretty cool comparison, so go ahead and take a look!

Not bad at all. Very nice work.
Nice work, looks not bad at all, although Frostbite is still IMO number one in terms of lighting.
It looks really good, might as well look better after a downgrade happens.
Frostbite screenshots look more impressive there.
I hate to admit it but Battlefront looks amazing. If it really performs as well as people have said about the beta then it’s just all the more sad that the gameplay is so casual and limited.
Looks nice and all… But maybe this single guy can bring back the single player?
The guys recreating assers from other engines are realllllly good. They have to be working in the video game industry otherwise their talent is a uber waster of potential.
