According to reports, a closed alpha phase for the new Hitman game is currently under way and some screenshots and animated GIFs have already been leaked. Hitman is described as a live and ever-expanding world of assassination, a digital experience that will continue to grow, deepen and evolve over time, where players perform contract hits on powerful, high profile targets in exotic locations around the world. The first public build of the game is planned for a December 8th release. Enjoy and kudos to Reddit’s ‘Burrito-mancer‘ for revealing them!

I got the collection on steam was just 8 eur i can’t wait to play this one too!
What a pos this franchise has become. Last great Hitman was Blood Money. Absolution and this are cash grab money.
blood money was pure hitman
Absolution was amazing one of my favorite games
This is beautiful troll work. Master class in trollsmanship. Bravo.
to anyone taking this guys post as truth, please don’t. The mission structure of Absolution is prob the main reason it isn’t a true Hitman game. Play Bloodmoney at least the 1st 5 maps/levels and then compare the two.
It went into a cinematic where 47 tried to choke someone 20x his size……. 1 bullet in the head would have been fine thank, next mission.
“live and ever-expanding world”
they F’ed hitman and it’s finished. RIP
it’s 4GB by the way.
Well, you could describe Dirt Rally as a “live and ever-expanding world” of rally with their early access model which has, mind you, worked out quite well for both Coddies and their customers. Hitman also fits that model. They just need to not fcuk it up.
i guess they want to shove that contract mode in absolution all over the new one, that ever expanding thing only means some online only crap in an episodic game. best case scenario ? you can play the game offline and unlock things but can’t use them because reasons! like absolution.
I don’t know why you think this is f’ed? It sounds to me like they can keep feeding us new levels of ever expanding awesomeness as long as the levels and gameplay are in fact awesomeness.
because it’s a fake term mostly used in F2P or multiplayer only craps
it isn’t f2p or multiplayer only. It’s SP story missions that you get for free after launch.
i doubt that, they will focus on online contracts and stuff just like absolution, sure they might put a single player game somewhere but rest of the game will be that contract cancer, again just like absolution. if it’s not, then i’m more than happy cuz i love hitman titles but i doubt it judging by their last game and how they are marketing this one. nothing good came out of ever expanding world
When you realise that the devs who created Hitman right through to Hitman Blood Money left IO Intercative in 2007. And that Absolution and this new Hitman game are made by the Kane & Lynch team. Add that to the fact that IO are in financial trouble and laid off half their staff earlier in the year. The fact that this new Hitman business model has caused huge backlash and is releasing download only for a year. Add that to the fact Hitman fans still feel very burnt and let down from Hitman Absolution and lost faith in IO and their lies they used to sell Absolution. And the fact they are lying and being misleading when promoting this new Hitman game. It is safe to say that the Hitman franchise is on rocky ground.
I like hitman games but gosh create something new for a change :I
They’ve tried something new already. It’s called Hitman Absolution. Didn’t really pan out.
Same game different design
tell that to cod or ac there are better targets than hitman when it comes to needing change
COD TOO
do you complain about chess becoming stale as well?
I don’t know .. those graphics looks very dated. Also.. is this kind of MMO? Does it have Single Player? it seems to emphasize alot on online world of contracts or something.
It’s single player through and through. However, there is an online component which basically expands on Hitman Absolution’s Contracts Mode. You can read up on that if you are interested. It’s one of the few better aspects of Absolution.
How can you tell the graphics in such a low grade pics and gifs?
I am in posession of several leaked gameplay videos. Even an entire level being played. The graphics don’t look much better than Absolution. There doesn’t seem much to do within the game world either. It is more like Absolution but in bigger worlds. In Absolution the hits felt very staged. This looks the same.
It would seem some of the commentators here have already played this game?? 🙂
I’m actually quite happy to see that blood money style multiple levels(floors) in one mission.
Well to be honest no one wants a episode type game(or anything that has to be online) i have no idea why companies are doing this
It took me no less than .24 seconds to realize they do it for the money.
All their post launch ‘episodic’ content (it isn’t really episodic) is free, so not sure what the issue is here. You buy the game for $60 and you get all that free.
didn’t they say the full story won’t be on the disc at launch?
It’s not episodic. It’s a $60 dollar game with probably around the same amount of content in any other Hitman game, except they keep adding more and more story missions for free.
It doesn’t matter how you look at it. The fact is they are releasing an unfinished game. It will have around 4 to 5 levels at launch. The majority of people do not download games. By the time the majority get the disc copy the story and content will be well and truly spoiled for the majority of fans. It sounds like it needs a constant internet connection to even play it too.
“It doesn’t matter how you look at it. The fact is they are releasing an unfinished game. It will have around 4 to 5 levels at launch.”
No lol it doesn’t work like that. So is any game with DLC released later an incomplete game ? Just because the presentation of their content model is different, doesn’t mean the same doesn’t apply here. If they have 12 to 15 missions like other Hitman games, the ‘incomplete’ complaint is invalid.
It is launching incomplete. Simple as that. You cannot finish/complete the story until the rest of the game is released. So the extra content isn’t DLC. It is early access to an unfinished game. DLC normally adds too a finished game. The release model is anti gamer. You are blind buying. You have zero idea of how much content, or the quality of the content they will release in 2016. If sales a bad, they may cut back on the rest of the content. Scale it down and not put 100% into it as it wouldn’t make financial sense. Reviewers won’t review the game at launch either because they don’t review incomplete games. Look how they promoted Absolution. They kept showing off the biggest levels so people bought it. They never showed off the 70% of the game was very linear. They kept that hidden. So who is to say the launch content of the new Hitman won’t be big. Then the extra content smaller. You simply do not know. Then there are several games that launched exactly like this new Hitman. Then they went back on their word and never botherd releasing the extra content they originally promised. This could happen with the new Hitman game too. You simply do not know. Then look at all the problems download games have. People are having problems downloading Until Dawn.
So first off, it only has 5-7 missions on launch, so there’s that.
The argument you are using however, doesn’t work. It’s completely subjective.
So your entire argument is based on the story not being complete ? Does that mean games which don’t end their story properly are incomplete ? Is it only because they are releasing a physical version later with all content ? Does that make all the difference ?
If they had enough content at launch, the game would be complete. You can talk about how it technically isn’t ‘complete’ because of story or something , but that’s pointless and doesn’t mean anything.
I like what I’m seeing, but not what I’ve been reading. The whole episodic/online focus is really putting me off.
I guess it is bad that I’ve just started a second playthrough of the series. I see disappointment just around the corner.
Why though ? The online/ episodic focus could be good in this case. It’s all free and it’s more sandbox missions to play around with. Which is kind of brilliant in a Hitman game.
I guess it won’t have that same Hitman 2 epic campaign feeling with it… Jesper Kyd on the music… that game was amazing in that sense. Oh well.
My problem is with the focus: all I’m hearing (reading) is things about online things, daily challenges, post launch content, etc. And that’s what is worrying me.
I don’t care about all of this, this doesn’t benefit a good amount of players that only care about have a single contained experience. I’ve read something about they wanting to do it like that to keep “people talking about Hitman for a year instead of finishing the campaign in a week or waiting for a sale to pick up the game” and that’s feels… I don’t know, weird.
I don’t want to be hooked to a game through a “artificial way”, I want to be hooked in the history, in the characters and such, and most important of all I want closure. Off course, more missions are always welcome, if it expands the game after I’m done with it, post launch content is supposed to make the experience fresh to new players and/or make the “veterans” go back to the game, and until now, I’m not so keen if that’s what they are going to do, I feel like being lured, hooked, like gambling, a system made to keep me interested with a promise that I’ll win something in the end.
As always, I hope I’m wrong. I like this franchise I really liked what I’ve saw on this little bits of leaked gameplays.
EDIT: Oh, and playing a Hitman game where I can’t find the name of Jesper Kyd on the credits just feels wrong. :s
They new business model is silly. They say they want to keep people talking about Hitman instead of finsihing off the campaign and release new levels over 2016 to keep people playing. But people are still playing Blood Money 9 years on! Just make a good game and release the whole thing on disc. That’s all they need to do. I just don’t think the game is fisnished and they want it out in time for the Hitman movie dvd release, but couldn’t get it finished in time.
The map looks large, other than that there is nothing of interest in these images. I’ll take this as “Hitman is in closed alpha phase”, that’s about it.
looks good and i want to see more gameplay

The animations look pretty bad. He walks and moves like a robot. Is that intentional?
Assassins are meant to blend in – anyone can pick out the person walking like a Terminator across a room at a social event. And security personnel don’t dress like FBI agents at a raid – they usually wear suits and ties and blend in at fancy parties.
