YouTube’s French gaming channel, Absolute Gaming, has posted a new video that focuses on the physics engine of Watch Dogs. Although the video is in French, you will get some glimpses of the physics middleware that is being used, as well as some of the physics effects. Enjoy!

John is the founder and Editor in Chief at DSOGaming. He is a PC gaming fan and highly supports the modding and indie communities. Before creating DSOGaming, John worked on numerous gaming websites. While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”

And this is From PC Gameplay… Look OK to me, really nice 🙂
yup i dont get that quad core requirement.
Also no one judge the game based on in editor fotoage, everything looks like crap from the editor.
You need a lot of horse power to get all that going, besides there are different kind of quad processors. The only problem would be to ask to much resources for to little return.
Also, Editor footage is not that great compared to the real deal, mostly because you don’t need all the bells and whistles when you develop certain parts.
I just dont get how a 3.2 phenom is “minimum” then again blackflag claimed to need as such and it could run on tricore just as well and didnt take advantage of 6-8 cores.
Hope they use mantle at some point.
You kinda need a good quad to play BF 4 on large MP servers, so I’d say it’s not that far of a stretch.
it looks just the same as E3 2012 ,YAY for pc
Just cos you downgrade something for an older console does not mean you can’t have improved version on a more powerful machine… They never said it was going to be ported the same across all platforms
Really impressive,i hope there will be a proper showcase video for physics and effects.
Wind also affects the rain drops, cloth, trees. There is different intensity of rainfall that affects how much the surfaces are wet and with that reflection quality changes.
Game has dynamic shadows/lightning,dynamic fog effect(i hope clouds are dynamic, well, at least some of them :D),textures are superb same as draw distance and character models.
Game looks fantastic,i just can’t understand how can (some)people not appreciate this. The amount of stuff that the game renders on the screen is amazing even on PS4.
Lets hope that the optimization is solid and that the game is good.
I’ve enjoyed what this studio has done in the past, so I have hope. The graphics displayed are indeed nice, especially when it’s raining.
still those freakin beautifull Depth of Fields are missing
DoF is still there,it activates in certain situations/scenes.
i hope so, becuase it was one of the most beautifull DoFs i ever saw in video games. one of the downgrades in E3 2013 was removing it for PS4 demonstration, however it wasn’t a demo running on an actuall PS4
PC users have had proper Bokeh DoF for years, don’t tell the console users that though, it’s a new experience for them just like native 1080p/60fps, oh wait.
not interest about this game I will wait until the game com out and I don’t have trust on this company after the downgrade of graphics level..let them see Infamous second son
YA GO HIGHSCHOOL LEVEL FRENCH SKILLS!
Any word what the requirements are for Ultra settings on PC?
