Before starting, let me tell you that I’m literally blown away and that this comparison is courtesy of Reddit’s user ‘RareIntel’. This fella has just made a comparison between an early screenshot of ArmA 3 and its real-life location, captured by Google Earth.
Although you can easily notice some differences, it’s amazing how close to its real locations ArmA 3’s environments actually are. Naturally, players will be able to explore the whole island, so kudos to Bohemia for staying true to Lemnos’ locations.
ArmA 3 is currently planned for a 2013 release, exclusively on the PC, and will support PhysX 3.0.
Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. You could plan an invasion with this level of detail. ArmA 2 was the same way by being the north by north east Czech Republic. Since Operation Flashpoint when BI divided into two companies they still have made it so ArmA is basically a very very VERY “lite” version of VBS(Virtual Battle Simulator) for the military. Insane and awesome
