Dino Crisis Modern Edition feature

Dino Crisis: Modern Edition Released, Featuring Third-Person Camera, Modern “Resident Evil” Movement, Visual Improvements, and More

It’s no secret that a lot of Capcom fans would love to see a new Dino Crisis game. And although this may not happen anytime soon, a new mod has just been released for the first Dino Crisis game. This mod will completely change the way you play it, and it’s a must-have for everyone who plans to replay it.

Dino Crisis Modern Edition is a mod that brings a lot of changes.

Perhaps the biggest change here is the camera. The original game used fixed camera angles, much like the first three Resident Evil games. But this mod lets you play with an over-the-shoulder camera in third-person view.

Not only that, but we get modern controls and movement behaviour, similar to those of the latest Resident Evil games. And yes, in case you’re wondering, you are able to use the mouse and the keyboard. PC gamers can use the mouse to aim and shoot the dinosaurs.

We also get some graphics improvements. Dino Crisis Modern Edition adds settings for shadows, ambient occlusion, anti-aliasing and more. We also get full facial animations and lip sync. These are things that were not present in the original version.

As with a lof of fan-made PC mods and ports, Dino Crisis Modern Edition has support for widescreen monitors. You can play with a 16:9, 21:9, and 32:9 aspect ratio without any visual stretching. You can also use resolutions up to 4K, and the game supports 30/60/120 FPS.

Finally, Dino Crisis Modern Edition comes with mod support. There is a mods folder the game picks up while running. Players can then use Dino Crisis ME Studio to export and replace characters, rooms, textures, sounds, and videos.

All in all, this is a must-have for all Dino Crisis fans out there. If you are one of them, you can download it from here. Below, you can also find its launch trailer.
