Bandai Namco has released the new action RPG that was created by former The Witcher 3 devs, The Blood of Dawnwalker. And, from the looks of it, two must-have mods have just been released for it. So, let’s dive in.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is a single-player open-world dark fantasy vampire action RPG. It’s developed by former The Witcher devs, and it uses Unreal Engine 5.
In the game, you play as Coen. Coen is a young man turned into a Dawnwalker, forever treading the line between the world of day and the realm of night.
Players will use their skills and combine vampiric strength with human resolve as they take on a quest to save the ones they love. They will face their foes – be they human, monster, or the ticking clock itself.
One of my biggest complaints about the PC version was its 30FPS cinematics. And that’s exactly what the first mod fixes. According to its description, it removes the FPS cap from menus and cutscenes, with an optional custom FPS limit. The mod works with or without DLSS and Frame Generation. You can download it from here.
The second must-have mod is called Better Story Timer. This mod allows you to have as many days as you want for the story. You can also remove all trait time costs.
For those who did not know, The Blood of Dawnwalker has time limits for its quests. Depending on which side of the fence you are on, this can be a good or bad thing. These time limits can make the game more exciting, but they can also make it more frustrating. Right now, this is the most downloaded mod on Nexus Mods. So, it seems that many players are not fans of the quest time limits. If you are one of them, you can download the mod here.
It’s worth pointing out that my second biggest complaint about The Blood of Dawnwalker, the camera stutters, has not been fixed. The devs claimed that running the game in full-screen mode could fix them. However, this is not true. Below, you can find a video that shows these camera stutters in all display modes.
Our PC Performance Analysis for The Blood of Dawnwalker will go live later this weekend. In this article, we’ll have benchmarks for various AMD and NVIDIA GPUs. So, stay tuned for more!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
