Rebellion has announced a new sci-fi action horror FPS, called Alien Deathstorm. This new action horror FPS will be coming to PC in 2027, and you can find below its debut gameplay trailer.
In Alien Deathstorm, players will explore a devastated off-world colony that is ravaged by a cataclysmic mega-storm and overrun by bloodthirsty aliens. Using a combination of cunning and firepower you must defeat the countless lurking horrors in a desperate fight for survival.
Now I have to note that this game has nothing to do with the Alien franchise. So, in case you’re wondering, no. This isn’t a new Alien game, and you will not be fighting Xenomorphs.
The reason I’m mentioning this is because Rebellion was behind the Aliens vs Predator games. So, at first, I really thought that this was a new Alien game. But then, after watching the trailer, I realized that it had nothing to do with it. Therefore, I’m warning you so that you don’t get disappointed like I did.
The good news here is that the game appears to be quite fun. From what I can see, it will have some cool physics effects. Finally, in 2027, we’ll get a game that has some physics. I don’t expect this to be a “PhysX” game. But hey, at least it has some cool wind and destruction scripted events, so that’s something.
As said, Rebellion will release Alien Deathstorm sometime in 2027. From what I can see, this isn’t a roguelite or a co-op game. It appears to be more of a traditional single-player game. Or at least that’s the vibes I got from it.
