CI Games has revealed some new details about the combat system of Lords of the Fallen 2. Moreover, the team shared a brand new episode of their ongoing development series ‘Lifting the Veil’, diving deeper into the game’s brutal soulslike combat.
In Lords of the Fallen 2, players will journey across a vast, war-torn kingdom crumbling from within, as the realms of the living and the dead begin to bleed into one. From moonlit citadels to time-ravaged temples, players will have to tread carefully as each step forward may well be their last.
Players will face tough, Soulslike battles where every hit matters. The combat is fast, smooth, and aggressive. You can fight with swords, magic, close-range attacks, or ranged weapons, and try out many different builds to defeat enemies. After each fight, you can finish opponents with brutal executions. Players will also battle giant, terrifying monsters in a dark world with no mercy. Every fight will be a hard test of skill, courage, and determination.
According to the developers, the game will feel faster and more agile than before. Lampbearers can now rush into battle like a raging mosh pit, and players will have a much larger area to control. This means you’ll need quicker reactions and smarter decision-making. Combat becomes a personal dance with death. The game will also offer more combat options. With a much larger variety of weapons, players can switch smoothly between melee, ranged attacks, and spellcasting, encouraging a more flexible and creative playstyle.
That’s not all. Heavy attacks will offer more than just extra damage. Players will have to make quick, important decisions during combat that can either secure a win or lead to heavy punishment if they push too far. The game also adds all-new graphic execution moves, bringing even more depth to the series’ intense, aggressive combat. These executions will turn battlefields into brutal, bloody arenas.
CI Games plans to release Lords of the Fallen 2 sometime in 2026. There is currently no exact ETA for when it will come out. The publisher hasn’t revealed its PC requirements either. As soon as it does, we’ll be sure to share them with you.
Enjoy!
