AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.1.1 is available for download

AMD has released the AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.1.1 driver for its graphics cards. This driver packs a number of fixes for various games. It also adds support for Starsand Island and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – From the Ashes Edition.

The new AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.1.1 driver fixes several graphics issues. First, it fixes shadows that were not showing correctly in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 on AMD Radeon RX 5000 and RX 6000 series GPUs. It also fixes a problem in Enshrouded where textures became corrupted at the first “Elixir Well” on RX 7000 and RX 9000 series GPUs. Moreover, it fixes certain lights that were not rendering correctly during nighttime scenes in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on RX 9000 series GPUs.

And that’s not all. This new driver also makes Diablo 4 and the Unreal Engine 5.6 Editor more stable. It fixes random audio dropouts that could happen when playing videos in the background on some Xiaomi and Hisense TVs using AMD Radeon RX 9000 series GPUs. It also fixes visual artifacts in Baldur’s Gate 3 when TAA is turned on for players using RX 5000 and RX 6000 series GPUs. Finally, it fixes an issue in Cassette Beasts where player sprites did not render correctly on RX 7000 and RX 9000 series GPUs.

Lastly, the AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.1.1 driver adds an optional install of AI Bundle. According to AMD, the AI Bundle lets you install everything you need to start building and running AI workloads, with just one click.

    • Intermittent visual corruption may be observed while navigating Chromium and Electron apps on Radeon™ RX 5000 series and Radeon™ RX 6000 series graphics products.
    • Slow window resizing may be observed (related to vkAcquireNextImage extension) while developing games that use the Vulkan API on Radeon™ RX 7000 series and Radeon™ RX 9000 graphics products.
    • Intermittent audio dropouts during minimized video playback on certain Xiaomi and Hisense TV models on AMD Radeon™ RX 9000 series graphics products.
    • Player sprites may not render correctly while playing Cassette Beasts on Radeon™ RX 7000 series and Radeon™ RX 9000 series graphics products.
    • Artifact may appear when playing Baldur’s Gate 3 with TAA enabled on Radeon™ RX 5000 series and Radeon™ RX 6000 series graphics products.

Known Issues

  • Intermittent application crash or driver timeout may be observed while loading a saved game in Cyberpunk 2077 with Path Tracing enabled. AMD is actively working on a resolution with the developer to be released as soon as possible.
  • Intermittent application crash or driver timeout may be observed while playing Battlefield™ 6 on AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. AMD is actively working on a resolution with the developer to be released as soon as possible.
  • Intermittent application crash or driver timeout may be observed while playing Roblox Player (Car Zone Racing & Drifting) when task switching between media on Radeon™ RX 7000 series products.
  • Texture flickering or corruption may appear while playing Battlefield™ 6 with AMD Record and Stream on some AMD Graphics Products.
