007 First Light

IO Interactive has lowered the CPU, VRAM & RAM requirements for 007 First Light

Earlier this month, IO Interactive released the official PC requirements for 007 First Light, which raised a lot of questions. However, the team has now released an update in which it lowered the CPU, VRAM, and RAM requirements. So, let’s take a look at the revised PC requirements.

In 007 First Light, players will follow James Bond as a young, resourceful, and sometimes reckless recruit in MI6’s training program, and discover an origin story of the world’s most famous spy.

Players will go on missions in amazing locations, drive famous vehicles, and experience a movie-like adventure while chasing a rogue agent who is always one step ahead. You can choose how to play: sneak in quietly or fight loudly. You will be able to use fists, guns, gadgets, or even tricks to fool guards.

Previously, IO Interactive recommended 32GB of RAM and 12GB of VRAM for gaming at 1080p/60FPS. But now, the team recommends 16GB of RAM and 8GB of VRAM. This should please a lot of owners of GPUs that have 8GB of VRAM.

For the minimum PC requirements, IO Interactive decreased both the VRAM and CPU requirements. Right now, the minimum VRAM requirements are 6GB. The minimum required CPUs are now the Intel Core i5 9500 and the AMD Ryzen 5 3500.

As IO Interactive claimed in its official statement.

“We are providing today an update to the PC system requirements for 007 First Light after the community flagged some inconsistencies in an earlier version of the listing. The earlier mistake was due to an internal miscommunication leading to an older version of the specs to be shared. After a thorough re-examination and additional testing, the recommended RAM has been corrected from 32GB to 16GB, VRAM values have been updated, and the minimum CPU line has been fixed. Additional performance targets will be shared closer to launch. We’re sorry for the confusion this caused and appreciate everyone who brought it to our attention. The updated specs are now live on our store pages, and we’re looking forward to sharing more of 007 First Light with you ahead of launch.”

007 First Light will be released on May 27th. As NVIDIA revealed at CES 2026, the game will support NVIDIA DLSS 4 at launch. It should also support the new DLSS 4.5 model (as you can force it in most games via the NVIDIA App).
