Battlefield 2142 Project Remaster V17B2 Showcased in New Video

The modding team behind the Battlefield 2142 Project Remaster Mod has released a new video that shows off its latest beta version. This video will give you a glimpse at some of the new features that will be coming to it.

For those who don’t know, Battlefield 2142 Project Remaster is a fan mod for Battlefield 2142. This mod offers new and improved visuals, textures, animations, weapons, and equipment.

Battlefield 2142 came out in 2006 and is the fifth game in the Battlefield series. It takes place in the year 2142, during a new ice age. In this future, the European Union (EU) and the Pan Asian Coalition (PAC) fight over the last bits of land that aren’t frozen. The game is mainly made for multiplayer and supports up to 64 players on one server. In single-player mode, you can play with up to 16 players against bots in Conquest mode. Battlefield 2142 also has its own ranking system that tracks your stats, similar to Battlefield 2.

Going into more details, Battlefield 2142 Project Remaster brings HD textures for terrain and static objects. It packs new first person animations for every weapon and gadget, and it adds new primary weapons to the game. It also improves the body physics for soldiers, the sprint distance of all soldiers, and the in-game FOV.

Thanks to this mod, the original weapons are now a bit more accurate and do more damage. The mod also adds support for 16:9 widescreen monitors. On top of that, you get smoother movement animations, smarter vehicle AI, and bots that can fight from farther away. It even adds better bot support for the original BF2142 maps.

In short, this is a must-have mod for those who want to replay Battlefield 2142. Right now, there is no ETA on when version 17B2 will come out. However, you can download its latest public version, V14, from here. You can also join its Discord channel to get access to the mod’s latest tester version.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more.
