Revolution Team, the modding team behind GTA Vice City NextGen Edition, has announced GTA: San Andreas NextGen Edition. This project aims to bring the entirety of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas to GTA 5’s RAGE Engine.
Like GTA Vice City NextGen Edition, GTA San Andreas NextGen Edition will feel like a remaster of the original game. This project will port the entire game and its content to the Grand Theft Auto 5 RAGE Engine. This means that it will have all the missions, characters, and cars from the original version. In other words, this mod won’t just bring the map from San Andreas to GTA 5’s RAGE Engine. Instead, it will be the entire game with all of its content.
While there is no ETA on when its first version will come out, the team shared a teaser trailer. This trailer does not show much. It only has the iconic “Ah sh!t, here we go again” cut-scene. And that’s it. So, consider this an announcement trailer and nothing more.
As the team has noted, the entire game is playable from start to finish in its latest version. However, after what has happened with GTA Vice City NextGen Edition, the team will be sharing details more cautiously.
For those who did not know, Take-Two has taken down GTA Vice City NextGen Edition’s trailers and download links. To avoid any legal issues, Revolution Team has not shared any other public download link for it. In other words, it’s really difficult now to find a download link for GTA Vice City NextGen Edition. So, my guess is that Revolution Team will follow a similar path for GTA San Andreas NextGen Edition.
Speaking of GTA Vice City NextGen Edition, GTA Trilogy Games released a new trailer for the Grand Theft Auto Vice City Actual NextGen Edition Project. This is a standalone mod based on GTA Vice City NextGen Edition. What this means is that you no longer need GTA Vice City NextGen Edition. Instead, you can use this mod to play Vice City in GTA 5’s RAGE Engine.
The good news is that we have a download link for the Actual NextGen Edition Mod. So, those interested can download it from here. I suggest downloading it while you still can. Take-Two may soon shut down this project.
