It appears that the first gameplay footage for PUBG Corporation’s new extraction shooter, PUBG: Black Budget, has been leaked online. This gameplay video is from the ongoing PC Closed Alpha phase.
While we don’t know the PC specs that the leaker used, we get to see some performance numbers. It appears that the game can run with 100FPS, provided you have the appropriate PC hardware.
In PUBG: Black Budget, you play as a Contractor, a tough soldier hired for a secret mission on a faraway island. Your job is to recover top-secret tech from an old research base. However, there’s a big problem: the island is stuck in a time loop caused by a strange force called the Anomaly. You must collect powerful artifacts, study them, and slowly uncover the truth behind the secret project known as SAPIENS.
Between missions, you can upgrade your Base, craft better gear, and level up your character’s skills. You’ll also face PvPvE dangers, meaning both real players and enemy creatures. The island becomes more unpredictable every time the loop resets — and the longer you stay, the tougher it is to escape alive.
The game takes place on a 2.5×2.5 km open-world island with different biomes, cool locations, and hidden underground areas. Each match can last up to 30 minutes and mixes exploration, fighting, and extraction. You’ll face both other players and dangerous creatures in dynamic PvPvE battles. The game uses level- and squad-based matchmaking for teams of up to three players, with up to 45 players in each session. The difficulty also increases based on your level and how long you stay inside the time loop.
KRAFTON will launch a Closed Alpha Test this month. The Alpha will begin on December 12th, and it will last until December 22nd. Those interested can request access to it via its Steam page.
Now, as with most leaks, this is a low-quality video. So, it will be a nothing-burger for most of you. Still, those interested in this new extraction shooter may find it interesting.
Stay tuned for more!
