Borderlands 4 October 9th Update Released – Full Patch Notes

Gearbox has released the October 9th Update for Borderlands 4 and shared its full patch notes. So, let’s see what this new update brings to the table.

The October 9th Update mainly focuses on some gear balance tweaks. For instance, it increases Ruby’s Grasp damage by 50%. It will also increase Bully drone damage and Bully base damage by 50%. Rangefinder base damage has been increased by 30%. Moreover, Queen’s Rest spawn chance was increased from 30% to 50%, and Queen’s Rest fire rate was increased by 50%.

Seventh Sense orb damage was increased by 250%. Then, we have a 30% increase for the Hellwalker base damage. The update will also increase the Convergence base damage by 25%.

And that’s not all. The Legendary Tediore Shotgun “Anarchy” has been fixed so it now correctly gives Stacks of Mutualism when you auto-reload or kill enemies. All class pets (like Trouble, Specters, Reapers, and Forgeweapons) now properly get Critical Hit Chance bonuses from Passives and Gear. The devs also changed Vex the Siren’s Bleed so it now counts as Status Effect Damage.

Gearbox claimed that next week’s update will include a host of improvements to stability and performance. It will also have some highly requested quality-of-life changes.

Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below, you can also find its complete changelog.

  1. Wow these balance changes make it look like this crap had minimal testing, got rushed out and treated like a PvP game.

  2. Those gun buffs seem crazy because half of them were already pretty decent. The Doom shotgun was pretty bad so that makes sense though. The Vex change feels like them reeling in those bleed builds before they start adding the challenge bosses.

Will you have time to do a before and after comparison..?
