Dinosaur Survival Horror Co-Op Game Deathground Launches on Steam Early Access

Jaw Drop Games has just released its dinosaur survival horror co-op game, Deathground, on Steam Early Access. To celebrate this announcement, the team has also shared a new trailer that you can find below.

Deathground aims to have strong and smart dinosaurs that chase you and affect your choices. You will need to move carefully through dangerous places and avoid these deadly animals to finish important missions.

The game also promises to have exciting gameplay with stealth, fighting, and teamwork. Players can use many different weapons and tools. The maps change each time you play, and the goals are different too, making every game feel new and fun.

Deathground will also offer solo play. This means that you can enter at your own risk, and you’ll have to attempt to escape and survive alone.

Sadly, this appears to be a multiplayer-focused game. Yes, there will be a solo mode. However, this won’t be a story-driven game. This is kind of a bummer as I’m not a fan of these games. But hey, it is what it is.

The Steam Early Access will come with 5 maps and different environments, 4 playable characters, and 3 dinosaur species. Over the Early Access period, the team will be adding new content to it.

Right now, the game has Mixed reviews on Steam. Although the game uses Unreal Engine 5, a lot of the complaints are not about its performance. The game seems to suffer in all areas. Some say it has stiff animations, mediocre AI, soft-lock issues, and the list goes on and on.

As I’ve said numerous times, you should stay away from Early Access games. Or at least that’s my opinion. That’s also why we never cover Early Access games for our PC Performance Analysis purposes.

Stay tuned for more!
