Modder ‘lexo1000’ has released a new HD Texture Pack for Baldur’s Gate 3 that aims to overhaul the textures of all environments. This pack will make the game look sharper and more detailed than before. So, make sure to get it if you want to make BG3 look better and more detailed.
Going into more details, the modder upscaled all non-virtual textures (aka terrain, vegetation, architecture, clutter, monsters skin for a total of 1313 files) using Topaz Labs. This means that the modded textures will retain the art style of the vanilla textures.
Moreover, the modder overhauled only the Albedo/BaseColor and Glow/Emissive. He did not touch their Normal/Physical maps. As he said, upscaling them will typically add artifacts and bring little visual benefit.
Do note that his pack may not be compatible with the one we shared in September 2024. Therefore, make sure to use only one of them.
You can go ahead and download this new HD Texture Pack from this link. There are also a couple of before/after comparison shots on its NexusMods page. These will you give you an idea of what you can expect from it.
Speaking of Baldur’s Gate 3, you may want to try this cool mod for it. This is a real-time combat mod. As its title suggests, it turns this turn-based RPG into an action RPG. In its current state, the Brawl – Real Time Combat Mod is only meant to be used with standalone game modes, like Trials of Tav. However, its creator is working on adding it to the SP campaign.
Another cool mod is this one, which adds to the game a Warcraft-inspired custom campaign. Forsaken is basically a recreation of the Undead starting zone “Tirisfal Glades” from World of Warcraft (Classic/Vanilla).
In October 2024, we also shared a video that showcased the game via a first-person perspective. This is another cool concept, though it takes a lot of mods to make it work. Still, if you ever wanted to play BG3 in first-person, you can do so.
All in all, the above mods are among the best I’ve seen for Baldur’s Gate 3. So, make sure to try them.
Have fun!

All the dude did was use topaz gigapixel to upscale the existing textures. Which means larger files for minimal benefit. Need to do the halk hogan method. Or tell the AI to generate a new texture based on the parameters/identification of the current texture/object.
Kinda like this.

Yeah most of the time at 1440p use 4k DLDSR and smoothing to give sharpness at like 13 or something and DLSS for a 1440p performance hit and you get textures looking better than "texture packs". There are exceptions like you said but the Witcher 3 texture pack is like all new textures a lot of the time.
1440p DLAA legit looks bad compared to this in a game like Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Looks good even with a low quality jpeg that trashes quality. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/bdce8da765f36c83210a34242cb1ba56017895bb49debeb9b89bcec720f1588b.jpg

Can you see the c*nt hairs on the female models better now?
No sir.
Pointless then, innit?
Eat sh*t and die. <3
What females? This is Baldur's Gate 3 we're talking about.
Everybody is a ladyboy in this damn game.
Does your poOos still smell like poo? Went down and had to get right back up before I passed out last time.

Who cares?
Everyone? All of those games on the list came out at around $70. You want your money's worth and not drop a game in the trash bin after 4 hours.
Shame replay value is not considered in review scores, because the replay value of Starfield and Dragon's Dogma 2 was 0.
You care.
Bear Gate 3 strikes again! Very exciting!
