Cinder City feature

NCSoft’s MMO tactical shooter, Cinder City, will support Ray Tracing & DLSS 4

NVIDIA has revealed that NCSoft’s upcoming MMO tactical shooter, Cinder City, will support Ray Tracing and DLSS 4 on PC. To celebrate this announcement, the green team has shared a new trailer that you can find below.

Cinder City, which was previously called Project LLL, puts players in the role of a futuristic knight. You’ll explore a world changed by advanced technology, and you’ll have to face brutal choices as they search for the lead character’s missing daughter. You’ll also fight intense battles across famous landmarks and high-tech war zones in a destroyed, post-apocalyptic version of Seoul. The game will support both solo and co-op modes.

Sadly, the devs have not gone into more details about the game’s RT effects. My guess is that we’ll get support for ray-traced reflections (and perhaps ray-traced shadows). The game is using Unreal Engine 5, and it will take advantage of Lumen.

Although I’m not a big fan of MMOs, I really like what I see here. Cinder City seems to have great gunplay mechanics. It also looks amazing. So, I’m kind of interested in it. I just hope it won’t be a grinding mess.

NCSoft plans to release Cinder City sometime in 2026.

Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!

  1. The game is using Unreal Engine 5

    No thanks.

I have had it with UE5 horrible performance. It is already ruining Titan Quest II before it is even out.

If a game uses UE5, I will not buy it.
