Creepy Jar has announced its new first-person open-world base-building game, StarRupture. The game will come to Steam Early Access on January 6th, 2026. To celebrate, the team also released the very first gameplay trailer, which you can watch below.
StarRupture will offer exciting combat and lots of exploration. You can play alone or with friends in co-op. The game takes place on a beautiful but constantly changing planet. Players will be able to gather resources, build and manage a complex base, and defend themselves against waves of alien monsters.
According to the devs, StarRupture will stay in Early Access for at least a year. So, the full version will come out in 2027, at the earliest. The Early Access version will include an up to 4-player co-op mode in which you will be able to build, fight, and explore one of the biomes of our rich open world.
Right now, the game already lets you explore the world, collect resources, and build machines that can mine, harvest, craft, and put things together. The full release will add even more, like new biomes, tougher enemies, extra buildings, fresh gameplay mechanics, and a full story mode to play through.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
