MindsEye is a new story-based, single-player action-adventure game. Developed by Build A Rocket Boy, it will come out on PC on June 10th. Strangely, there’s no official gameplay trailer for it yet. But luckily, YouTuber Punish shared a video showing 3 minutes of gameplay.
In this game, you play as Jacob Diaz. Jacob is a former soldier with a mysterious neural implant who is suffering from memory loss and flashbacks.
Players will go on risky secret missions to uncover the truth about their past. The game’s world will be full of dangers like smart robots, and crazy science experiments. You will also encounter spying companies, corrupt leaders, and a powerful army that no one controls.
As you will see, this video is 9 minutes long. The new gameplay footage is its first three minutes. Then, the YouTuber added all of the game’s trailers (so that he could extend the length of the video).
In the new gameplay footage, we get to see some driving and some action. So, let’s dive in.
Let’s start with the driving. In my opinion, it looks fine. The game also has a basic level of distractibility in the city. So, in a way, it will remind you of GTA and Watch_Dogs.
The over-the-shoulder shooting also seems fine. It will not blow you away, but then again, it appears to be fine. However, the enemy AI is all over the place. It’s really bad. So, don’t expect to be fighting intelligent or clever enemies.
There is also something weird with the running animations. They look rough and “amateuri-ish”. I can’t really pinpoint what is wrong with them. However, I’ve played a lot of third-person games and these animations do not look good.
I’m pretty sure that this gameplay footage is from a beta build. However, the game is one month away from release. As such, there are two possibilities. Either this is from an old beta build, or it’s from the review build that some people may already have on their hands. Whatever the case, it looks like it’s coming in hot.
It’s also worth noting that MindsEye is priced at 59.99 euros. So, at that price, gamers will have high expectations. And, if you expect a game as polished as CP2077 or GTA, you will be disappointed.
Finally, MindsEye will use Unreal Engine 5. However, it’s still unclear if it will support Lumen or Nanite. Also, IO Interactive hasn’t revealed the PC system requirements yet. But don’t worry. We’ll be sure to share them as soon as they are announced.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

Oh nooo! UE5 🙁
I know that motion blur, dof, CA are turned on, but It's me or this game visuals are not sharp, they look very "out of focus" ?
Also during driving you can see artifacts from streets lights, the look like a side effect from upscaling…
Yes, framegen artifacts too, especially during rapid changes such as explosions. I suspect the base framerate these videos were made from was ~30-40 fps.
Trash garbage
good enough for 40-50 bucks not full price though. It literally looks like if cyberpunk 2077 devs made a gta v in the future. All these games start to blend together.
I guess you've put too many zeros on your price there.
Well i didn't know that something this classic could feel like fresh air nowadays, no colorful sh*t, no RPG mechanics, no seamless coop, no looting stuff, juste a classic cover/shooter, that's a good start.
It still needs something to take off, i didn't see any signature mechanic just drive cars and shoot stuff, not even bullet time or some hacking to spice these gunfights a little bit, this can lead to some boring a$$ gameplay, especially with this AI that doesn't even try…
I agree, it needs some distinguishing characteristics.
Of course it's another trash game. Why did I ever think this was gonna have some good gameplay. They're still selling those good as covers to us like its the 2000s.
Another piss filter saints row reboot trash.
This confirms what I already wrote yesterday about that Tainted Grail game.
All games start looking and feeling the same.
I'm not saying that games HAVE to be original though.
There are plenty of very simple games that I love, even very old basic ones.
No need to try hard to be original or look good to make a good game.
But we're entering a period of time where all games look like a bunch of expensive generic-looking assets + UE engine, and that's it.
It doesn't necessarily mean that the gameplay is bad. But it means… Good luck to them standing out in an ocean of good games, old and new, that have already given us everything that could be done in the gaming industry.
….
If two games have the exact same gameplay, but only one of them has aesthetics/lore that are pleasing/interesting to you, which one will you play?
This is how I feel every day since a few years, every time I see a new game.
"I already have this at home, it might be older, but I like it better."😁👍
yeah i have been saying this for years, the problem with modern games is that they are all the same, they look the same and play the same, so why buy a new game that will look run and play worse than the last game you played like it years ago when its not even finished and you have to pay to be a beta tester? Why? They run like crap do, play an older game instead. Modern games are not bad, they are ok, its just that they are not finished and they are so samey, there is nothing new to excite you to buy a game…and then you got AAA unmitigated disasters made by hundreds of people to appeal to everyone and end up appealing to no one.
For the reason that the admin of this site is working, no uncertainty very quickly it will be renowned, due to its quality contents.
Despite all the advancements over the years, we still can't have a game with decent enemy Ai? They just walk down the tunnel towards you while you play whack-a-mole. I'd love to see enemy ai throw a flashbang, use actual flanking techniques etc. Perhaps toss a smoke grenade so they can advance etc? Nothing?
see thats the thing, "ai" is fake, snes games had npcs that move up and down and had no actual "ai", but it sold the illusion because what is the ai is gonna do? Fall of a cliff? You cant its a top down dungeon crawler with walls. When games became 3d we saw more ai falling off cliffs so they compartmentalize them so they dont appear if you are not in that room, they spawn them in real time. Half life had good ai because the ai had a script that they gonna throw grenades if they cant see you due to no line of sight because you are hiding behind a wall and if they take too much damage they run away and some times drop a grenade on the ground before they run away. That is the most impressive ai that has every existed. Most of fear ai was nothing more than audio messages if you killed the other members of a squad and unreal and quake had strafing and bunnyhoping to dodge attacks. Halo had grunts panicking if you took out their leader. Thats it. Games in which the ai runs on walls like the imps in doom 3 or the mutants in rage are scripted actions and then you got gears of war that the ai like you can take cover with an animation. Then you got souls like games that have combo attacks so you have to memorize their attacks. But they are dumb as they gonna keep trying to shoot you with arrows through walls. The main reason why modern games have terrible ai is a combination of devs not bothering and tons of bugs caused by very complex geometry due to the level design, so to avoid ai falling off cliffs or getting stuck at walls, they either despawn them when you are not near, just like you can see in the video a car literally spawns backwards and accelerates to a wall. The other solution is go the avowed route and not let ai move at all, in fact having no actual ai. Sure you can have better ai but that will mean bethesda levels of bugs. So they are going with the "no ai no bugs" route.
Right? on top of that i generally noticed a lack of destructibility as well and the game looks pretty mid.
You just need to play F.E.A.R so you can understand that the whole industry is nothing but a bunch of highschoolers with no real talent!
meh
Damn, I hope that AI is a placeholder or something, because they act as dumb as bricks.
jewish bs, not interested
I hate Hollywood trash
I just like the helpful information you provide in your articles
Regenerating health, meh…
I truly appreciate your technique of writing a blog. I added it to my bookmark site list and will
Are games growing on plants now ? Every other game just that same generic bogus shooter & they're making it like a dozen every 6 months. How're they doing it ? Why people are buying ?
Looks solid, can't wait to see and hear more about this one.
Oof… That's tough.
So Lincoln Clay did a Michael Jackson, huh?!
Impressive.
