Modder ‘BadassBaboon’, creator of the RealityV Mod, has released a new mod that improves the ray-traced reflections of GTA 5. This mod overhauls the game’s reflections so that they can look better and more realistic.
With this mod, buildings, houses, apartments, and shops now have windows and glass that reflect even more things. Also, puddles and water now show real reflections of the world around them.
And that’s not all. The mod fixes translucent surface reflections. It also adds proper shaders and textures to models such as underpasses to take advantage of RT reflections. Plus, the building LODs are also adjusted for smooth reflection transitions.
Right now, the majority of the city is updated to fully take advantage of the new RT technology. So, make sure to download it as it’s one of the must-have mods for this next-gen version of GTA 5. Well… that is if you want even better RT effects.
To showcase the visual improvements, the modder has shared the following comparison video. So, check it out as it can give you a pretty good idea of what you can expect from it.
This mod should also be compatible with RealityV. However, I’m not sure whether it will work with the ChromatiX Enhanced Mod. For what it’s worth, these two mods are the best ones for GTA 5 Enhanced Edition.
Razed is also working on a new version of the Natural Vision Mod. Now I don’t know whether Natural Vision Enhanced will have these improved RT reflections. What I do know, is that it will have better Ray Tracing shadows.
Since this is a completely different mod from RealityV, it could be compatible with Natural Vision Enhanced. And, in my opinion, this will be the best-case scenario. By using both of them, we will be able to get better RT reflections and shadows. Otherwise, we’ll have to wait until BadassBaboon releases another mod to improve the RT Shadows.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

still looks like a ps2 game
Nah, not by any length or width. It looks awesome, but Vanilla GTAV still does aswell. The thing is, while you actually play, you dont really pay attention to RT. So its kinda a moot point, still for ppl who like screenshots, i think its awesome.
You were born in 2003.
more like 1984 and this looks no better than original killzone on ps2
Is it still a pain in the a** to install GTA 5 mods?
Yep, as always, OpenIV and sh*t… Always keep backups
I hate manually editing game files with OpenIV to install mods, and then have a game update break them until I do it all over again… Someone seriously has to come up with a better way to mod this game. Either that or Rockstar needs to stop updating it.
GTA IV doesn’t need OpenIV anymore, mostly, FusionFix loads files from a folder, you place your files in it with a good structure, and it loads them prior, the only downside is that it takes more space because mod files won’t replace original files, but i take this method any day
Unfortunately it doesn't seem like anyone has come up with a better system for GTA 5 than manually editing game files using OpenIV.
Off topic: Can you test Lossless Scaling's Adaptive Frame Gen update? Besides frame gen, input lag and image quality were improved as well with this latest update! That thing is insane! Combined with Nvidia Reflex from RTSS or Special K Latent Sync/etc, you can even play with drops below 30 fps and still have a good experience because Adaptive Frame Gen would target and maintain 60!
I have tested the latest version and this with adaptive frame gen and this thing has even higher input lag compared to the fixed frame gen. Input lag is very noticeable to me even even at 80fps base (RTSS reflex frame limiter). LSFG is a very poor alternative to the DLSS FG.
It's not a poor alternative for single player games! I have done tons of tests myself. Yes it's true you will have a higher input lag with adaptive but you can get a stable 60 fps even with drops below 30 and you don't even notice them. I played Ghost Of Tsushima/Cyberpunk 2077 at 25 fps base frame rate and scaled to 60 using frame gen and I had a blast. Fixed is better but the thing is you need the right settings. Adaptive can be good as well and input lag can be mitigated by setting Queue Target to 0 and Max Frame Rate to 1 or 2. This with V-Sync Off and Nvidia's Max Frame Rate from Control Panel set to 30 or 60 (depending of the target frame rate ) gave me the lowest input lag. RTSS Reflex is good same as Special K's implementation but somehow the Nvidia Limiter feels better. More testing is need it. What software do you use to verify latency?
Everything is a mirror
Lol exactly, modder "Look at all those reflections, can see everything! AMAZING!"
Mirror reflections look awesome.
