It’s been a while since we last heard about PIONER, don’t you agree? Well, earlier today, GFA Games released a new gameplay trailer for it during the Future Games Show Spring Showcase 2025 event.
In PIONER, your main goal is to survive and explore a dangerous world filled with both PVE and PVP challenges. The devs say they will focus on creating exciting events, interesting factions, and engaging quests for players to enjoy.
As an MMO, PIONER will focus on player-driven stories and social interaction. The game will offer both PvE and PvP gameplay. Players can take part in story quests or faction missions. By earning loyalty with different groups, they can unlock rewards and discover more of the story.
The game is designed to pull players into its world, encouraging them to explore, plan, and survive while making meaningful choices. The world will keep changing and growing, with more information coming as its 2025 release gets closer. So, expect to hear more of it soon.
The devs also stated that the game will have an extraction mode, called Shadowlands. This will be a high-stakes survival and treasure hunting mode, accessible within PIONER. This will be an additional mode, and not the main one.
Although there isn’t a specific release date, GFA Games plans to release it later this year. You can also find its preliminary PC requirements here.

I have asked the devs multiple times about whether they are using AI for VO and they have dodged the question each time. Also, the senior manager of the project is also involved in an illegal reboot of another game in a different discord. Something is off here.
Nothing is off here, this is a huge project and secrecy is important. Nobody cares about AI VO. Look at the game, it's what STOLKEYYR 2 should have been
