It appears that some new gameplay footage for the new AC game, Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, has been leaked online. Do note that this new footage may contain some story spoilers. So, consider this your warning. If you want to experience the game yourselves, you should skip the following videos.
In total we get to see over 7 minutes of new footage. The videos have some in-engine cut-scenes and some proper gameplay footage. However, their quality is not that great. Thus, you cannot really judge the game’s visual by watching these leaked videos.
I’m certain that Ubisoft will take these videos down in the blink of an eye. Thus, I suggest watching them while you still can. Well, that is if you don’t really care about spoilers.
As we’ve done with a lot of games that got leaked prior to their official release, we will not allow story spoilers in the Comment section. We’ve been doing these for all games. If you are one of our regular readers, you should be well aware of it. So, don’t go around asking why I’ve deleted your comment (in case you post a spoiler).
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be powered by the latest version of the Anvil Engine. The game will have dynamic seasons and weather, aiming to change the landscape and your strategy. It will also have destructible environments, as well as dynamic wind and environmental particles.
On PC, players can expect support for DLSS 3.7, FSR 3.1 and XeSS 2 at launch. There will also be a built-in benchmark tool to test your PC. Plus, the game will support ultra-wide monitors. Moreover, PC players can expect RTGI and RT Reflections.
Ubisoft will release Assassin’s Creed: Shadows on PC on March 20th. As we’ve already reported, the game will be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. So, that’s a bummer for those who boycott games that have it. You can also find its official PC system requirements here.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

she runs on roofs made out of hay and covered in snow as if they are solid objects. The palace she climbed was nice but then 13 freaking towers in the map, i get tired just by looking a them, godamn it ubisoft, make a new game. The dialogues are terrible and i hate they dont have accents, everyone loved altair's accent, i hate how they got rid of it in later games. They dont sound japanesse, also that smile, she wants the BBC.
All the scandals surrounding this game set aside, it's strange how facial animations are still so poor.
Ubisoft has also had some weird sound going on the last AC games. Dialogue in particular seems muddy and I feel the same here. It almost sounds a little AI-like, with the weird buzzing in the voice.
there is a video comparing cutscenes and animations with the ezio trilogy, its mindblowing how much better the writing, acting dialogues, face animations characters and cinematography was, makes me realize i liked the old games because those things were good, and you were an assasin le parkouring all over the place not a generic open world action rpg looter shooter.
That's because they use a Nvidia app for speech to facial animations
They started using Audio2Face-3D with Valhalla because of the pandemic limited them from being able to use traditional Mo-Cap for facial animation. I assume they stuck with it for Mirage and Shadows because it is cheaper
The problem is Ubisoft doesn't spend the time to manually tweak facial animations with Audio2Face-3D and just use the basic output as is.
I just saw something interesting, now you can use Audio2Face-3D with the Transformer model instead of the old CNN model …… Instead of Audio2Face it is called Audio2Emotion
I know they put a patch out recently since people are playing it and posting footage now. I wonder if any of this footage uses it. I def want to give it a try but I wonder if playing the subscription service counts as a full sale or not.
Stiff
I wonder how different the game on the disk will be compared to the version that is released on March 20th? How much stuff will be cut or changed?
Well all the leaked versions seem to be PS5 so even without bug fixes the PC version will look considerably better. The leaked versions are basically beta versions until the Day One patch
I don't hate it. I like the setting and dynamic weather.
I might buy it if combat is good.
Yeah, the amazing stiff combat where enemies are just standing still.
I just want to see that glorious "ubisoft shutdown article" on DSOG in 2025.
and bioware, i want them gone.
Why? you work for the competition?
The industry needs a cleansing of hacks taking over once successful names and sabotaging them with crappy games.
How can anyone wish for people to lose their jobs?
Seriously, grow up.
If you don't like their games don't play them, simple as that.
The people who actually develop games driven by passion and creative dedication, have already quit ubicorp and went for other opportunities. What you see in the company are corpo pawns working to serve politicians for a few tokens. Putting them out of the industry is actually, supporting the good developers and helping bringing back gaming again.
Ubisoft, king of fake leaks. They've been doing this for how long now? 15 years at least, right?
Looks terrible.
Hopefully, this masquerade will sign the death of Ubisoft, or even the death of wokeism.
Literally rewriting history and replacing a race?
I mean, it can't get worse than this.
This circus has come full circle, and it's time to put an end to it.
I don't care what you say. My grandmother told me samurai's were black.
my grandfather told me samurai were European.
it will not suck but sales would not be high and its gonna mark the shutdown of the majority of Ubisoft, its foretold at this point.
I hope they get widescreen right this time because it didn't work correctly in Mirage and the cutscenes all fell back to 16:9. Even if you hack the EXE with a hex editor it was wonky and in cutscenes it would cause your character to completely disappear unless you adjusted the camera angle just right
Just stopped by to say that was another failed attempt by Ubisoft to create hype. Can't wait for the 20th of March. The Ubi's Collapse Day.
Lol ain’t nobody leaking this but Ubisoft
Ain't worth the bandwidth
Yeah yeah "leaks" we know.
Hopefully this is the final nail on the coffin for ubi, and it sells the licenses for all the ips. Tom Clancy, AC, Far cry are being wasted with all woke garbage being injected into them.
The hype on this game is unreal. Most commended posts here are about this game. Can't wait!!!
