Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Gets PC Requirements

SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have revealed the official PC system requirements for Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. So, let’s see what kind of PC you’ll need to run this new Like a Dragon/Yakuza game.

PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i5-3470 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 with 8GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, or AMD Radeon RX 560, or Intel Arc A380. With this PC setup, you will be able to run the game at 1080p/Low Settings with 30FPS, provided you use AMD FSR1.0 Balanced. Plus, the game will require 56GB of free disk space.

For gaming at 1080p/High/60FPS without upscaling, you’ll need an Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, or AMD Radeon RX 5700, or Intel Arc A750.

The previous Like a Dragon game supported the latest versions of DLSS, FSR and XeSS. So, my guess is that Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will also support them. However, you should not expect any RT support.

SEGA will release Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii on February 20th. Do note that the game will be also using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. This shouldn’t come as a surprise as pretty much all the previous Like a Dragon games used it. So, here is hoping that SEGA will remove it one or two years after the game’s release.

Stay tuned for more!

    1. They've been using the same engine and processes since like 2019. Check some of the older titles they use equivalent GPUs but dropped them once the manufacturers ended support.

      1. That's the thing. Why devs are following corporate rush. The older yakuza titles run decent with low requirements natively. With almost same level of detail and open world, this game should run better with those specs shown. I hope it doesn't follow that upscaling & latest greatest hardware trend & would run good on low end hardware too.

        1. Infinite Wealth kinda shocked me with performance on deck. It ran a worse than Ishin or the previous LaD titles but I hope itll be straightened our for Yakuza Pirate.

        1. Oh yeah, I didn't notice the FSR balanced part on the minimum requirements. Yeah they should've just said the requirements for 720p/30fps at lowest settings instead, it feels more honest that way. Also, something is terribly off with the GPU requirements. According to techpowerup, the GTX 1650 is like 76% faster than the RX560. I'm going to go ahead and say that it's another case of Japanese developers not knowing anything about PC hardware making up the specs.

  1. FSR1.0

They are still using FSR 1.0 wtf…
Also Denuvo Malware DRM, so it's a insta skip.

        1. There is plenty of wacky japanese games if you will to explore more than what established franchise offer. Even serious established franchise usually have spin off, Gradius for example, have Parodius as spin off . Or way more know franchise like Metal Gear Solid also have one, the skateboarding game in MGS2, VR Mission in MGS 1 (where you could face giant enemy soldier) or monkey catching game in MGS 3

  2. It seems RGG believes we have reached the peak of graphics in 2019 if they're still recommending 1070 equivalents. Im not mad at it because it means it'll probably be decently playable on Steam Deck as Ishin! was but I wonder how many other games could afford to adopt a similar practice or mindset about optimization targets.

  3. So refreshing to see a game without women.
Never thought I would say this one day. lol
    Bring strong men back!
