A few days ago, Ubisoft revealed the PC system requirements for Assassin’s Creed: Shadows. In addition, the publisher revealed the game’s PC features. So, let’s take a look at them.
Ubisoft has broken the PC requirements into three categories. These are: Selective Ray Tracing, Standard Ray Tracing and Extended Ray Tracing.
So, to run the game, PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i7 8700k or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070, and AMD Radeon RX 5700 or an Intel Arc A580. With this PC setup, you’ll be able to run AC: Shadows at 1080p/Low with 60FPS.
For gaming at 1440p/High with 60FPS, you’ll need an Intel Core i5 11600k or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 or an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT. As for 4K/High, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super or an AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT should be enough for 60FPS.
For Standard Ray Tracing, you’ll need at least an Intel Core i7 8700k or an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070, an AMD Radeon RX 6700XT or an Intel Arc B580. For gaming at 1440p/High with Standard RT and 60FPS, you’ll need an Intel Core i5 11600k or an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super or an AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT.
Finally, to get the best Ray Tracing experience, you’ll need an Intel Core i7 13700k or an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 for 1440p/60FPS, or an NVIDIA RTX 4090 for 4K/60FPS.
Do note that all these PC specs are with upscaling. So, in case you’re wondering, no. These aren’t PC specs for native resolutions.
Assassin’s Creed: Shadows will support RTGI and Ray Tracing Reflections on PC. Moreover, it will come with a built-in benchmark tool. Players can also expect support for DLSS 3.7, FSR 3.1 and XeSS 2 at launch.
Ubisoft will release Assassin’s Creed: Shadows on PC on March 20th. The game will be also using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech.

ngl, I like this new desperate ubisoft. The last Ubisoft game I played I thought scaled really well across my hardware and had a ton of useful and great accessibility options. I hope people start witch hunting square to get them to turn up the features for rebirth and any future pc port.
I hope those specs for the 4080 rig can hit 4k/60 fps using DLSS 4 (or as it's actually called online, DLSS 3.10.1), not that I actually care to play this monotonous crap.
Can't wait to ray trace San Francisco simulator.

They're giving this game away with Intel CPUs now. A game nobody wants to buy with a CPU nobody wants to buy. Fitting.

Brother, you and me both. But we know that would never happen. Microsoft would probably jump in and buy them. Then, tell them that they can continue running business without interference. So now they’ll have unstoppable amounts of money to continue their foolishness. Ubisoft games are so bad, assassin’s creed plays like dog schitt these days. Who sits around and play that stuff.
We are witnessing the slow and painful death of Ubisoft and it's satisfying to watch.
