Rebellion has shared a video, showcasing the first 20 minutes from its new Sniper Elite game, Sniper Elite: Resistance. So, if you are interested in it, you can go ahead and watch it.
The story of Sniper Elite: Resistance runs in parallel with Sniper Elite 5. In this game, you play as Harry Hawker. Harry is an agent of the Special Operations Executive (SOE). And, for the first time, Harry will take the lead as he uncovers a dangerous new “Wunderwaffe” weapon.
Sniper Elite: Resistance will keep its third-person perspective, and promises to stay faithful to the sniping, stealth and tactical mechanics of its predecessor.
The game will have its trademark X-ray Kill Cam and advanced gunplay physics. Players can expect new propaganda missions, as well as authentic World War II weapons and customisation. The fan favourite Invasion Mode will return, and there will be tense online multiplayer modes.
Rebellion will release Sniper Elite: Resistance on January 30th. The game will be also using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech.

Despite all sniper elite games being basically the same thing with different level design, I've always found them fairly appealing and enjoyable. Maybe it's because they are so formulaic. I'm pretty interested in the next game Rebellion is working on, Atomfall.

I always enjoy the Sniper Elite games. They feel like big clockwork pieces that you move your way through systematically… kinda like the Hitman franchise.
While they've become maybe a bit to set in their ways and the story has basically been a rehash over the last several games, I still enjoy them. So I'm looking forward to this new one. I hope it's decent, as that's really all I expect from it. It's not going to shatter the world, but it will be a fun and enjoyable romp that I have a good time with.

They really need to sit down and have a think about doing something new with it. Every game is basically V2. Graphics are dated, movement mechanics are horrendous, bullet time I just turn off as it gets boring. Why not try moving it out of WW2 for once. The nazi killing has been milked to death. Preferred SGW contracts as it felt a little different as a sniper game. SE however is just a never ending DLC.
