A rumor surfaced last month, suggesting that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 would be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. Thankfully, though, Warhorse Studios has debunked that rumor. So no, the game will not have Denuvo.
This info comes straight from the devs themselves. So, there you go everyone. No Denuvo in Kindom Come: Deliverance 2.
This should please a lot of PC gamers. Let’s also not forget that the first game did not use it either. And although Deep Silver has used it in some of its latest PC releases, it’s good to know that they have not forced the devs to add it to this game.
Although Warhorse has not yet shared the game’s PC requirements, Daniel Vavra claimed that the NVIDIA RTX 4080 Super can run Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 with 60fps at 4K/Very High Settings. So, this should give us a small idea of how the game runs on a high-end PC system.
We also know that it will support both NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR at launch. Moreover, the game will be powered by CRYENGINE. However, there is no word on whether or not there will be support for Ray Tracing.
Deep Silver will release KCD2 in February 2025. Back in August 2024, the team also shared a 25-minute gameplay trailer for it. So, I suggest checking it out in case you haven’t watched it.
Stay tuned for more!

I hope these racist developers finally add in some diversity after the comments they made for the first game.
well the studio is esg compliant but i dont see any of it in the trailers.
its supposed to be based on a specific area and point of time in history. What diversity could they add to the game that you would want to see?
I think he's being sarcastic.
It is tough to tell sometimes.
Nice b8 m8.
They added more Cumans for the player to kill.
Trump won, no more blacks allowed.
why they dont use denuvo ?i dont get it from business point of view
many studios are finding out that it does not increase sales, most people who wont buy a game do it because they cant run it, or because the game is buggy and needs patching or they play other games. There are countless examples of denuvo games that did not sell and games cracked day one that did sell amazingly well. Also you have to pay them money per activation of each copy sold and its a subscription service. Basically denuvo killed piracy so well, that everyone found out it doesnt effect the sales much the hard way. If a game is good and it does not have steep competition it will sell, if its mid and there are other game to play and its buggy and broken, it wont, people will buy something else instead.
Its hard to say how many sales producers actually lose from its use. there is a lot of fondness for the developer and one of the biggest reasons it developed that senitment was it being drm free and on gog.
The first game was very clunky and full of potty humor. I thought they would have toned the potty humor down a bit, instead they doubled down in te sequel.
"hahaha, someone was killed in a cesspool of excrecement, and now you have to find him in the excrement to find his valuable belongings. Oh it smells, hahaha".
Yeah….no, I'm not a two-year-old.
You really have to like this type of childish humor to enjoy these games, to me it is a huge turnoff. Humor is fine, but you have to be borderline braindead to enjoy these crude jokes.
The national IQ test is today. Trump 2024!
Okay this is a fair compromise, i guess i have to get back to KCD sooner though.
You never will.
best news of the year!
Some of the best selling games of recent years, have had quite literally, zero DRM. Namely, Baldur's Gate 3, which sold like hot cakes, and was released in parity, on GoG. If PC players are littered with such piracy, why would this thing sell so incredibly well, when it had zero defense against piracy?
Well, thankfully, it's not a very tough nut to crack. Games that are worth the money, will sell. Pirates will always avoid buying the game, and for the few that just might buckle under the FOMO, they just aren't worth the cost of Denuvo, or the bad PR it brings.
I have RE4 Remake, the one and only Denuvo game I have ever bought, and the last I will ever buy. F*** this cancerous garbage in the rear.
DRM is for people who have no confidence in their product.
Remember The Witcher 3?
We have plenty of PROOF that rather then harming, piracy helps to boost the sales, since more people will play and talk about your product.
It almost look as the devs were so afraid of unbiased opinion on their product, that they do what they can to limit the access to it.
Unfortunately, the stupïdity of the buyer makes it easy for the devs to keep using such things.
The first was a buggy mess and required a top rig to get the best out of it. The menus are borked and lots of other problems. I try to go back to it now and then but it's short lived get bored and annoyed. Then the terrible fpp on horse is one of only games to give me motion sickness etc I can't imagine this one is going to be anything but more of the same tbh, just bigger, better graphics etc It's also very likely this is a jugame as most of them are, dumbos think this is some sort of accurate depiction of those times are bonkers.
History is a proof, games that got pirated ultimately sold better whether denuvo, starforce or A2Z any drm. It wasn't about drm anyway it was always about how good is the game itself. And yeah It's nice to see Men and women making games for men and women
Alright, so we will be able to see the pure performance vs advancements of current CryEngine in these devs' hands, that's interesting!

agreed, but hey, no denuvo day1, that's huge nowadays!
The "i have no clothes because i shag*ed your mom" was terrible too… Good that they added a check and recorded dialogue for a little something that increases the reactive feel of the game, but don't do THAT. It instantly kills immersion and my attachment to the game for me. In fact, I'd love a mod that deactivated all the childish dialogue, it would help it a lot.
It's immersive but it probably gets boring fast like the first game
The start is quite slow, that's why it gets boring.
But if you manage to go through the initial 4 hours, than you'll have a blast.
The plot is awesome and the gameplay quite satisfactory.
So will this be on GOG at launch now?
I thank thee, real devs!
The focus is staying alive until the release date now.
