According to a leaked document, Lords of the Fallen 2 will be exclusive via Epic Games Store on PC. CI Games and Hexworks claim that Epic made a major investment to get exclusivity. Moreover, the game will be, once again, using Unreal Engine 5.
The EGS exclusivity does not come as a surprise. In June 2024, we learned that Epic Games would be the exclusive distributor for Lords of the Fallen 2 on PC. So, it was a given that it would be exclusive to EGS.
As per the leaked document, Lords of the Fallen 2 will come with gameplay improvements. Moreover, it will have increased game mode optionality. As such, it might appeal to more casual gamers. Plus, it will have a full shared-progression co-op alongside a core single-player campaign.
CI Games plans to officially reveal LOTF2 in 2025. The game will also target a 2026 release date.
Now as with all rumors and leaks, I suggest taking everything you read with a grain of salt.
Lords of the Fallen was an interesting re-imagination of the first LOTF title. To be honest, though, I wasn’t a big fan of Umbral. Plus, the game had a lot of cheap death traps.
It will be interesting to see the new features of LOTF 2. Here is hoping that Hexworks will take a look at Lies of P. In my opinion, this is the best “Souls-clone” that have gotten. The team can also learn some things from Black Myth: Wukong. For instance, the fact that you don’t lose your souls after getting killed is a huge QoL improvement. At least in my opinion.
Stay tuned for more!

didnt this game flop and lies of p steal its thunder?
Lords of the Fallen: 43,000 peak player count
Lies of P: 19,000 peak player count
It was Lies of P that bombed.
Maybe because Lies of P was in gamepass from day 1, many people like me probably went to that route.
i saw a video saying “why lies of p succeed where lord of the fallen fails” Didnt click it, i dont keep up with souls clones.
Here we go again. Any hope of this coming to GoG just went through the FUQIN window. FML

non-souls regulars : why the F was it like that in the first place?
I guess it was to build that sense of dread and put you on edge about playing a certain way because you have so many souls on you.
To add a challenge, a sense of achievement. Otherwise it's just work.
then why altering such integral stuff is QoL improvement, then?
Gamers aren’t what they used to be.
ain’t that old of a sub-genre … actually might be one of if not the newest of gaming sub genre? …
Souls regulars : Why a non-souls regular want changing core mechanics for a souls game in first place ?
I hate being an elitist MF but if i wanted to try a new genre i won't start by complaining about how it doesn't suit me, adaptation is the key, if you don't like beer's taste you won't add sugar to it, you just don't drink it
I actually finished Lords of the Fallen 2023 last week so this is cool to see. The game had an absurd amount of death traps to the point where I just had to laugh and avoid weirdly placed pick ups all together. I enjoyed it a lot mostly for the atmosphere. I think lies of P combat felt better even when I really started to gel with Lords dodging. I'll probably do an Inferno or Radiance playthrough before the sequel comes out. I do not mind the the EGS exclusivity personally at this point but I just really hope they have epic cloud saves enabled so that I can also play my saves on steam deck with less headache because its frustrating that a game that uses epic online services on the epic launcher doesnt have it on by default. Losing souls on death I think is handled best by Flintlock where you get a multiplier based on how long you don't die or get hit as opposed to just losing everything on death.
I don't mind the EGS exclusivity either as It just results in getting to play for free.
Epic, make piracy great again.
Does online still work?
I remember reading of a title where it did. How many titles today? I have no clue. I gave up on MMO’s when EverQuest was over run by bots / cheats.
No, I meant does the Online portions still work when you got the piracy route. I enjoyed playing Lords on and off with some friends who were still playing. Would you be able to do that with the your pirated copy?
That’s what I was answering. It still works sometimes, dependent on the title.
ahh okay, ty. I guess having to migrate a save between steam deck and a pc will still be pretty annoying in that case as well.
Unless they use Denuvo, which is the actual villain and not some stupid store.
Denuvo is still being cracked. Just takes a little longer.
Which Denuvo game was last cracked? More likely for devs to ditch Denuvo on their own.
Good question. I don’t know. Has there been any recent games worth cracking?
I’ve been playing some of my backlog including a second play Skyrim for more than a year now.
Any game is worth cracking my dear pirate tourist.

No it isn't, it's just a gameplay simplification for a game that has a challenging principle, that's how many series have been ruined by seeking a mainstream audience that just want to go through the game mashing buttons till the credits roll, there are tons of easy games just let challenging games exist as they are
No steam? Can't wait to pirate it hahaha 👍🤣 thanks timmy tencent LOL
I could have sworn this game actually existed, but it turns out it is a reboot from the first game lol.
Am I living in a matrix? I remember this game flopped and IGN gave it a 4 or a 5 back in 2021-2023, wtf is this sh*t?
one of the most solid Meh-game that people don't want, yet they will get
I just got into Lords of the Fallen, so I hope there is a sequel in a few years. Really loving the game!
