Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake vs Original Intro Comparison

YouTube’s ‘Cycu1’ has shared a video that compares the intro from the original version of Metal Gear Solid 3 with its upcoming remake. This video will give you an idea of what you can expect from this remake. Spoiler. It’s 1:1 identical to the original MGS 3, something that will please a lot of its fans.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will stay true to the original story and game design. Its team will be improving the gameplay with amazing graphics and a seamless user experience.

Players can elect for a newly added, and more modern control style. You can also choose to play with a classic control style that more closely recreates the feel of the original game. Not only that but there will be a number of color filters to choose from.

MGSD: SE will be powered by Unreal Engine 5. Additionally, David Hayter will return as the voice of Naked Snake. This is another thing that will please all MGS fans.

In all honesty, this appears to be one of the most faithful remakes of a classic title. Konami will be giving MGS fans exactly what they have been asking all these years. That is the original game with better graphics and better controls. And this is Konami we’re talking about. It’s crazy.

Last month, Konami stated that the game will run at 4K with 30fps and 1080p with higher framerates on consoles. I’m not sure if the PS5 Pro will be able to reach 60fps. What I do know is that, once again, PC will offer the best balance between graphics and performance. Well, that is if you own a high-end PC system.

Let’s just hope that Konami will add support for NVIDIA DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 3.0. Since this is a UE5 game, it should be easy to add them. Then again, this is Konami. So, you never know.

There is currently no ETA on when Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will come out. Naturally, though, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

Enjoy the video!

          1. Wouldn't say a hack, just an acquired taste I don't seem to have (insert flying whales and men pissing themselves here)

      1. "MGSV TPP alone has very likely sold over 10 million copies as of now since it already sold 6 million in just the first four months after release."

        Just a lil citation.

  1. If it's the exact same game with better graphics, updated for today's resolutions and better controls then it's not a remake. It's a remaster. There is far, far more work that goes into a remake. Why does it matter what Konami calls it? Because they will charge $60-$70 for this remake which is what remakes go for instead of $20 for a remaster.

    1. They've remade all of the game's assets. So it's a faithful remake. If they had used the original 3D models/levels (with better textures and lighting), then you'd call it a remaster.

  2. ue5 just overuses hw unless you buy newer stuff, just more hw sales type stuff, epig prob start making gpus at some point that sweet markup can't be just for the other two. That said it looks good as it should of course, milking off the distant past. We seem to get a lot of remaster remakes screams creative bankruptcy and desperation.
