Skydance and Survios have shared the first in-game screenshots for their upcoming Alien VR game, Alien: Rogue Incursion. While these screenshots are not final, they can at least give you an idea of the game’s art style. So, go ahead and check them out.
Alien: Rogue Incursion is an all-new single-player, action-horror VR game featuring an original story that fully immerses players within the terrors of the Alien universe.
Players will experience the horror and challenge of fighting Xenomorphs in a world inspired by the look and feel of the Alien film franchise. Audio, Visuals, Lighting, FX, Interaction, and Haptics will work together to plunge players into the terrifying world of Alien. Or at least that’s what the devs claim.
In this game, the Xenomorphs can intelligently use the environment to find the best angle of attack and appear from anywhere around you. Playing in VR will test your nerves and skill as you feel the pulse- pounding terror of facing off against Xenomorphs. In addition to weapons and gear, your
resourcefulness, quick reflexes, and the ability to stay cool under terrifying pressure are needed to survive.
Combat in Alien: Rogue Incursion will be dynamic and can happen (or not) based on player actions. The spawning of the Xenomorphs is reactive to the
player’s movements. So, if you make a lot of noise, you’ll get flooded by Xenomorphs.
Although there is no ETA on when the game will come out, Survios targets a 2024 release.
Finally, the team hasn’t yet shared the game’s PC requirements. As soon as it does, we’ll be sure to share them with you.
Enjoy!

No one cares about VR anymore. Only the poor saps who spent thousands of dollars, desperately needing reasons to justify their terrible financial decisions.
well, there arent alot of amazing vr games to worth investing on vr and the hype is gone. I wish vr was affordable and everyone used it though.
All it needs is a well-built VR headset which is affordable.
Remember that PC handhelds also were a very niche product category for many years, until the Steam Deck caused an explosion in popularity.
Maybe Valve has something similar up their sleeves for the VR market as well, who knows…
Valve was smart to price the steam deck at an affordable price, I believe that is why handheld PCs became so damn popular. It was so cheap to get into. I myself bought a refurbished 64gb at GameStop for cheap as free. Love it. Use it more than my PC to be honest.
but also VR is very different. It's not exactly easy to set up in the home. That is also another reason why so few people got into it.
A handheld is so easy to get into. You can literally play it anywhere
First of all, I'm very happy to hear that you are enjoying your Steam Deck that much! 😉
Please make sure to take good care of it, because Valve will continue to support it for many more years to come with SteamOS updates.
As for VR, a standalone headset is the way to go there…
can't wait for the inevitable total death of the VR fad (and the seething of its cultists)
Keep dreaming inside the asylum, PatientZero! 😷
