Rocksteady just dropped the first update for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League after the game’s launch. The patch, released on February 14th, tackles some bugs and sorts out the difficulty scaling issues that were giving players a hard time.
Do note that this patch will not improve the game’s performance. It also does not pack any stability tweaks or improvements. Rocksteady claimed that it’s aware of these issues and that it’s working on improvements. These improvements will come in later patches.
For what it’s worth, Suicide Squad: KTJL is not a performance mess on PC. Yes, there are some traversal stutters but on high-end CPUs, you can get a good gaming experience. So, let’s hope that Rocksteady will offer optimizations for those using weaker CPUs. And no, I don’t expect them to ever fix the traversal stutters.
According to SteamDB, the game’s PC player fanbase has dropped to 2K. That’s not a good sign for a GaaS game. Oh, and there is still no word on when we’ll get the Offline Mode.
Anyway, this latest update fixes a bug that was causing Burning damage to scale with both player damage buffs and enemy debuffs. It also resolves a bug that allowed Toyman to stack multiple of the same Augment on your gear. The devs have also fixed an exploit that allowed players to gain extra XP during the Gizmo’s Support Squad missions by destroying vehicles. Plus, enemies at Mastery level 46 and above will now deal more damage.
Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below you can also find its complete changelog. Finally, make sure to read our PC Performance Analysis.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League February 14th Patch Release Notes
BUG FIXES:
- Fixed a bug that was causing Burning damage to scale with both player damage buffs and enemy debuffs. Burning damage should only be scaling via enemy debuffs.
- Fixed a bug that allowed Toyman to stack multiple of the same Augment on your gear.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented modifications to Augments on your gear from saving after exiting a multi-player session and joining a single-player session.
CHANGES IN THIS RELEASE:
- Heat Wave’s Molten Skin & The Turtle’s Shell have had their damage reduction reduced from 100% to 90%.
- Due to some players exploiting certain mission mechanics, vehicle kills during Gizmo’s Support Squad missions no longer grant XP. You are still awarded XP for mission completion.
- With the fix to Burning damage, players will be less likely to get to the same Mastery Level as before. As a result, we will be creating new Leaderboards in the interest of fairness. Fear not though, as we will be archiving the existing Leaderboards, so those currently atop the rankings will live on in infamy!
- With the fix coming to Burning damage scaling and hearing the concerns around hitting a wall when climbing Mastery levels, we have reduced enemy health scaling for Mastery levels 46 and above.
- To keep things challenging, enemies at Mastery level 46 and above will now deal more damage.

Does this game even have enough players for a 4-man team?

You can keep saying this as much as you want but it doesn’t make it true. Lots of people with high-end CPUs are getting major FPS drops under 60 FPS. This has been confirmed on the Steam forums, Reddit, and YouTube. Stop acting like your experience speaks for everyone.
2K players… any point now to to make patches as a developer for a game people barely play.. ?
